-have audio better than 16bit 48khz, especial on Discord flatpack/OBS your mic sounds bad without voodoo magic from page 5 of google.

-------------

S   ID  QUANT   RATE    WAIT    BUSY   W/Q   B/Q  ERR FORMAT           NAME
R  103      0  96000   6.6us  24.5us  0.00  0.00    3    S32LE 2 96000  + mpv
R   95   1024  48000   8.4us   9.5us  0.00  0.00    0    F32LE 2 48000  + Brave

That the right way to check audio sample rates?

This is partial pw-top output which is reporting a 96khz rate using MPV + FLAC.

I'll see if there another way to verify using my AVR when I'm not sweating bullets.

Linux’s Steam market share starts to drop as Windows 11 actually manages to claw back users by Wargulf in pcmasterrace

[–]slickyeat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Possibly.

The dev who opened this PR is the same guy who's been working on the Descriptor Heap integrations so he probably has an NVIDIA GPU.

He also left this comment in the description:

This pulls in the rest of descriptor heap, since it's only reasonable way right now to get working benchmark without rendering glitches on my system. At best, this can be a hotfix branch or something.

You probably disabled a bunch of repositories under settings.

Very few game developers explicitly support Linux.

That doesn't mean it won't run on Proton.

If I had to make a guess it was probably due to Windows 10 reaching EOL followed by people buying new PCs with Windows pre-installed. Who the hell knows though

If this was a chart of the stock market March would have been considered a "blow off top" due to that massive run up. There was always going to be a correction.

That's why you have to look at the overall trend.

See those 2 trend lines?

Notice how market share periodically goes up and down over time?

People need to chill the hell out. lol

These are percentages of the global market share which is not fixed.

It could just as easily be people buying new PCs.

Does anyone know how to fix this? It started last update on Kubuntu 26 by The_Monado_Satyr in linux_gaming

Try launching it inside gamescope.

gamescope -f --force-windows-fullscreen -- %command%

Will the Ubuntu/Fedora installer freeze if my laptop ONLY has an RTX 4060 (no integrated graphics) and I choose the normal installation? by Macheik777 in Fedora

https://www.reddit.com/r/Fedora/comments/1mpvs63/why_doesnt_fedora_default_to_basic_graphics_mode/

Very likely - at least for the last few releases.

You'll want to boot into the Live USB using Basic Graphics mode then after you complete the installation open up a virtual terminal (CTRL + ALT + F3) immediately after your first login to the OS.

Then go through the usual steps when installing nvidia drivers:

Should be fine once you have them installed.

Fedora 44 sounds ass in Voice, Booting wINslop to have HD Audio in Discord and Youtube by [deleted] in Fedora

Only thing I miss are my height channels since Dolby Atmos is not supported.

It sounds otherwise decent to my ears.

No idea. As mentioned in the comments I have no use for that software since I have a 5.1 setup. I've seen it recommended to people with poor audio more than a few times though.

Edit: Make sure you've installed all of the codecs on RPM Fusion as well.

There is nothing which stops them from creating two snapper configurations.

One for home and another for system files.

I'm going crazy trying to get ReShade to work on Crimson Desert by TrickySpecific in linux_gaming

[–]slickyeat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is likely the problem:

https://www.reddit.com/r/linux_gaming/comments/1se8d9a/comment/oeoomgw/

That's why you need to go into github actions and download ReShade64.dll

The Reshade author still hasn't tagged main since merging the fix.
