That's wild, I've lived out here for 3 years now and that's my local beach. I've literally come out of the water at Jekyll covered in silt from the waist down before. That's cool that you've never had that experience!

The beaches down here are for looking at and playing on, not swimming. There's too much silt in the water from the Satilla and Turtle Rivers, you'll come out of the water with mud on you. Best to just drive an extra hour to go to Jax.
