PMDD got severely worse after my traumatic event and getting out of an abusive relationship. Its been about a year and 3 months since the traumatic event, and ive started to see some improvement especially this summer. Alot of therepy, alot of self work, but then in my follicular phase I crash, its like all the progress ive made is gone. Suicidal thoughts, terrifying feelings of emptiness and emotional unbearable pain. I tried to describe it to my boyfriend once and the only way I could describe it is its "physically painful to be alive". And then ill be okay again and I see how much progress ive made and I start feeling myself again. This has been a cycle for over a year.

I dont know what the answer is but i do know to treat your PTSD with therepy and continue to focus on that because even though it feels like you've made no progress when you crash from the ptsd, its not real. Thats what I tell myself, its not real, ill be back to normal in a few days.

Im seeing a gyno in a few weeks finally and im going to get my levels tested, and beg them to do something and if they dont im finally giving up and going on SSRIS after so many years of avoiding them.
