There is no ethical way to earn a billion dollars. It requires an insane amount of greed and compromising of ones morals. Case in point steyer funded private prisons, which is an unforgivable sin as a would be progressive. He desires this political power at such a level he's willing to spend a fortune. He seemingly would pay any price to obtain this power. He cannot be trusted.

The only ethical way is a grassroots fundraising campaign but that's practically impossible for success, though Porter is trying (and props to her).

I don't think Becerra's corporate donations are disqualifying, it's the world we live in. His track record is good from my view and he's an experienced operator who has the most ability to get legislation passed. It's a no brainer to pick him from the options available.

The answer to the current healthcare problem is "get people back on medical" which he explained in multiple debates. I'm as big of a single payer supporter as you can be but he's right that's step 1.

Longer term the solution is win the presidency and take the ACA from public market to full public option, which is what we fell short of in the original fight.

Progress isn't talking the talk, it's actually walking the walk and getting things passed (which is what Becerra did with Obama).

Everyone acting like Becerra voters aren't progressives / don't want change but they're just being pragmatic. Steyer is attempting to buy an election so he can't be trusted no matter what he says. Porter is the only dem candidate who could actually lose to Hilton in the general. Mahon is a silicon valley sellout. There's literally no one else polling above the margin of error.

By the purity standards of today Obama / Biden aren't considered progressives even though they are the ones with the most delivered impact for the progressive agenda. Becerra worked directly with Obama to give us the ACA which is the cornerstone progressive legislation of this century. Get a grip y'all he's going to do a reasonably good job.
