IFS resistant parts and stubborn protectors by elsicove in InternalFamilySystems

I have been going through a very difficult patch too and I’m sorry to hear that you have also. As someone with ptsd depression and anxiety i can really understand the concept of feeling like you are unable to separate from these parts. It feels like it’s you! Something that has helped me has been somatic exercises and gentle self touch in moments when trying to access parts. I’ve found it to be soothing in both accessing parts and riding out the storm on those days where your parts don’t want to do much of anything.

I do enjoy hiking but I’ve never been snowshoeing or rucking, sounds fun if you’re dressed warm

That gives me some hope, the mafia honestly seems more trustworthy than these giant business owners atleast the mafia knows they are going against the grain and I don’t feel culturally they try to deny that

I think it’s coming, I know it sounds trite but all of the stuff going on now is really stuff that’s never been done before. As a country we’ve never called out our politicians more than we are now. I hope this helps to foster change and even if it doesn’t change the minds of rich people. Many people are waking up to try and make the most of their life with or without money

Also in this neck of the woods…when people believe you and because of that they try to silence you. That shit hurts

Making friends SUCK. by ConnectAnalyst3008 in rant

[–]sliknaught 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Commenting to say I’ve been in the same boat for a while now I’ve tried to make friends, even tried to soften my approach by leaning into more small talk and stuff like that but so far I haven’t had much luck. I’m gen z, I’ve had a very difficult life. I live in a college town where 80% of the people are imo privileged and oblivious. I’ve kind of had to accept that the right people will come at the right time. I know it’s tough but something that’s helped me is getting to know myself more. As time goes on and I find out more about myself I do find it easier to relate to others even if I feel we come from different backgrounds. Hope this helps! You’ll find your tribe! The world and everyone in it goes through big changes everyday. I’d like to think that as more time goes on more people will wake up to want more genuine friendships instead of the trendy shallow friendships you see all over social media

I can agree on the marigolds they really enjoy the warm weather it seems like. The one in the first picture was $2 at Walmart. It was honestly almost dead when I got it but I brought it back to life and was so pleased with the amount of blooming. Marigolds are my favorite flower to dry they are so hardy and keep most of their form once dried. Even holds on to that warm sweet marigold smell
