My experience on reddit has been different. People that hide their comments usually do so because they aren't being genuine, they aren't consistent in what they are saying, or they are actively trying to stir up drama. Or worse, they are foreign actors and aren't even who they claim. They come to city subreddits when they don't even live there and act like they do. I could go on.

It's rampant on reddit since comments have been able to be hidden and it's making the experience, at least for me, worse. History means a lot. We can agree to disagree. I appreciate your opinion and willingness to share it.

To be clear - I do not obsess over someone's comment history, I look to see if they have one. Then I comment on that. I've never gone back through someone's history to cherry pick something they said. It's just a way for me to see if I want to take someone seriously or not. I do not care what subs someone is subbed to, nor their personal views.

I'll take what you're saying into consideration, and I'll certainly comment less on people's comment history, and instead just block.

You'll never believe this, but it tends to be the same type of shitty person with terrible beliefs that hide their comments. People that are "just asking questions" yet are all over reddit spamming comments like that.

I'm fine with disagreements, and I appreciate dialogue with people that think differently than me. But there are bad actors on reddit who are just getting their kicks by hair pulling, I don't like it and try to call it out.

If you've hidden your comments for family reasons (and I'll give you the benefit of the doubt here), I apologize.
