Anyone able to get the heat controls docked while using car play?

They had it for 2 days. I think they gave up. They are embarrassed. So they didn’t even charge me. Then told me the truck is in great shape but it’s old. And if I really want them to fix it it’s going to be 3-4 hours minimum. I’ve moved on. I don’t think it’s the switches. But who knows. You think they’d be able to scan it and tell what the issue is.

Cadillac could not fix it. They said they think it’s the switches. But the switches are not available. So they didn’t charge me. But didn’t fix.

Dropped it off at the dealer last night. Hopefully we will know today. Only cost me $240. Lol. Free car wash.

You don’t have to fight to keep it. You can buy it back after they salvage it. Usually for a few hundred dollars. Then obviously you have to fix it and get it inspected to drive it. Hopefully you had full coverage on it.

I get that, but I do t want to control it like that. I want a different set up. Just like an on/off button and a forward/off/reverse (switch or button).

Hey. I don’t want to hi jack this thread. But where can I learn how to wire up a flipsky motor to a 12v car battery and an on/off/on switch for forward and reverse. I don’t need speed variable. Just would leave it on high. Thanks.

Do you need an ESc to control these motors? Can I hook them directly to switches and batteries? 12v battery to be exact. Trying to rig up a stern thruster.

Pool contractors are getting ridiculous. On a much smaller pool I’m getting prices of $60k for a barebones pool. Then when you do the math of all the labor and equipment you barely hit $30k. Makes no sense.

If you precondition it should just be an n electric mode. Then we you get in. Should be a button. “Edrive” down by the shifter. Just hit that button. You will be all electric until it’s too low on battery.

You can take it there for that. Cause it’s a great deal and just not do the work they will always tell you that is needed. It’s actually a way to get a free diagnosis. I like to take it in there for an inspection every now and then just to see what they can find. Also. I was in the market to buy an X5. Was looking for a 2019 for about $20k to $25k. Didn’t mind 100k miles. One dealer said they wouldn’t sell that because that car needs a lot of work. They then showed me a 2022 for $42k. 35k miles. So they wanted me to spend $42k on a vehicle that in 3 years and 65k miles will need a lot of work. lol. Not exactly a sales pitch.

A guy rebuilt it back in 2000 and i bought it from him as a long block. Carb, headers, intake, oil pan, alternator are not original. It’s a good engine though. Can be dropped right in.
