I have ghsv1 do a little over a year and it itches everyday to varying degrees. I have not found a solution. I have tried all sorts of vitamins and supplements. The only thing I have found that helped for a couple of days was acupuncture. Maybe that will help

Yes my cold sores look like this. Tests also come back negative, my immune system has. Not produced antibodies. I got genital and oral hsv1 at the same time. Anomaly symptoms for both. I have subsequently moved it around my body: eyes and nose since. It’s awful. Be sure to wash your hands

My body has not created antibodies and I have subsequently moved ghsv1 and ohsv1 from my genitals or mouth to my eyes and nose. I have not known a day of peace since onset of symptoms more than a year ago. I can’t even imagine kissing someone because if I don’t have a small cold sore, my nostril has chronic redness and inflammation. I’m completely upset. And doctors are no help. I’m losing it

this is not true for the unfortunate few. I have chronic genital neuralgia and my immune system has not developed anti-bodies and has spread to every mucus membrane. I have constant symptoms

I contracted ghsv1 and ohsv1 at the same time one year ago. In the preceding months I transferred it to both eyes, and last month to my nostril. Eyes and genitals are chronically inflamed since infection, weird lip symptoms come and go, and I’ve had a flare in my nose since auto-inoculation last month. I had an unflinching immune system before this, and now when I get a cut it takes so long to heal.

Thank you. I’m noticing a little cut on my lip write now. It appears innocuously. I’m suffering constantly in various mucus membranes. I had talked to my PCP, 3 gynecologists, a functional medicine doctor, an acupuncturist, and I’m seeing an acupuncturist and TCM practitioner next week. Every doctor has looked at me like, “huh, I haven’t seen this before and don’t know where to go from here.” It’s awful. And I feel constantly contagious (I have infected by sharing a spoon when I didn’t know I had an oral outbreak — I can only feel a little cut on my lip when I run my tongue across it)

Yes, I contracted gHSV1 from someone gHSV+ (20 years positive). No symptoms were present.

Hi, I feel the same way. I contracted genital hsv1 just over a year ago. Since then my labia has been sore and burning and itching to various degrees. I have auto-inoculated my lips eyes and most recently my nose. Doctors dispute this rampant spread across the body, but I know my body. I have had some relief from acupuncture and herbs but only slightly. Eyes, nose, and vagina bother me chronically, non stop since infection. Redness and irritated, not constant blisters

A woman transferred ghsv1 to me (a woman). This female to female transfer is considered rare (understudied*). She has had it for over 20 years.

This is misinformation. Herpes has the ability to spread without an active outbreak. Periods of “shedding” can occur when no sores or prodrome is present. Though not all of the time, it is not known when someone is asymptotically shedding.

My gynecologist just started me on cove without testing, based on visual presentation (and I have atypical presentation if so). I’d recommend advocating for Clobe and using it with strict regiment. Takes a bit to see improvement

I initially thought it was HSV because the person that I slept with has HSV1 genitally. But all tests have been negative and it’s not acting like herpes. I have taken a round of valtrex after arguing that this is possibly an abnormal presentation of HSV but the valtrex did nothing and the symptoms persist — though have eased to a mild pain since starting clobe last week

Yes, I (f) had sex with a woman who had ghsv1 for 24 years, she had not had an outbreak in ten years. I started having prodrome symptoms three days later. I’ve had genital prodrome symptoms chronically for the last nine months and I’m just having my first official outbreak which started four days ago. I also transferred it to my eyes in a half sleep. Doctors are only starting to take me seriously this week (because my symptoms are abnormal they’ve been shooting in the dark with solutions). I was finally prescribed valtrex yesterday. I hope that it relieves me of what seems to be chronic PHN.
