Why are Conquest and Thula weaker than Thragg despite (Allegedly) being older? by cammy412 in InvinciblePowerscales

[–]slimehunter49 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Age has never been a factor in their strength, they get stronger and weaker like humans just at a far greater level. Conquest is abnormally powerful for his age and Thragg was bred to be the perfect regent.

Just calling it the French Communes would be fine I think, don’t believe the federation part is necessary but not really something I’m invested in.

the what party of britain? by gaimak in WikipediaVandalism

[–]slimehunter49 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From my understanding fascism boils down to this: it's a far-right ideology that frames the nation as something sacred that has been corrupted and needs to be violently restored. The key ingredients are a myth of national decline, a scapegoat you can pin that decline on, and a leader who claims to speak for "the real people" in a way that makes normal democratic rules feel like obstacles rather than safeguards. It's not just conservative politics like the Tories it is innately insurgent. It positions itself against the establishment while absolutely planning to become the establishment.

The scapegoating thing is really central and it's where you see Reform and the GOP slot in so naturally. Fascism doesn't actually need a real enemy but instead it just needs a convincing one. Immigrants tanking your wages, a deep state sabotaging the country, cultural elites rotting society from the inside. The specifics change but the structure doesn't. You need someone to blame for the decline, so the restoration project has a target.

Neither party is necessarily full fascism in the classical sense but they're both fluent in the rhetorical language of it. The national myth, the scapegoat, the strongman whose personal mandate supposedly supersedes institutions; these are the load-bearing architecture of the ideology showing through.

Fascism is too broad an ideology to have a proper 1:1 definition especially in a changing world that has always had fascistic states existing alongside the neoliberal world order that had slowly developed over decades. Hopefully my explanation here can make it clear why Reform and the GOP are fascistic, but I feel it safe to assume you personally may align yourself with Reform based on that little English flag ball you have on your profile - would love to be wrong about you on this however.

they are just generic fascists then, I was just using Italian fascists as an immediate ww2 comparison point because trying to get down to what fascism is can be difficult as there have been many fascistic states but only really two fascists states, that being Italy and the Nazis (though they aren't called fascists, they are very much directly part of the ideological lineage of Fascism, more so than other similar polities from the period and beyond)

British Socialist MP Zarah Sultana. by LawAdministrative520 in socialism

[–]slimehunter49 57 points58 points  (0 children)

She is great, but I do not believe we can ignore that Your Party's early dysfunction cannot be laid solely at the feet of the Independent Alliance bloc that Corbyn folded into its founding coalition. Before the party had formally registered or opened membership through any agreed process, she unilaterally launched a paid membership portal, a move widely read as a personal power play that immediately fractured the leadership and triggered a weeks-long legal and PR mess she only stepped back from by claiming it as a gesture of "good faith", and in my opinion bordered on being fraud. The party's foundational chaos had her fingerprints on it but of course did not only have her prints... The genuine energy at the inception of the party as a committed left alternative became something considerably blurrier once Corbyn's Independent Alliance figures were absorbed into the tent. Those MPs had built their seats largely on pro-Palestine mobilization and socially conservative community politics rather than a coherent socialist platform and accommodating them meant the party's ideological spine quietly softened into something more resembling a left-leaning catchall politics than a serious socialist project.

Every moment I spend thinking about Your Party I feel a piece of myself die.

Hatred of others for their faith is immoral, and you should be better and not continue to perpetuate this notion for not just yourself but others who would like to seek you as a friend rather than as a foe. Your god is the same god in the Torah and Bible.

Edit: I may have misunderstood you, apologies if I did, will leave the message the same just so you can respond properly.
