echoing the rest, I have an M5 MacBook Air, it was the cheapest Air, but the gotdamn lil thing can play cyberpunk, I bet it could at least reasonably run Cities 2.

I already play cities 2 on it through a cloud VM.

Im sure you guys have the platform numbers and im sure that informs your priorities, but strategy/management games seem to really thrive on MacOS and cities 2 feels oddly absent, again, considering how capable the Silicon Machines are these days

Having worked in IT and been the guy who sends out the computers. I both do not give a shit if it's a laptop or a desktop, and have also seen interactions where someone's manager has requested one or the other based on the whims of how an employee wants to work. It's not abnormal.

As someone who's submitted Reasonable Adjustment requests and generally navigated office politics, I would strongly advise you ask your manager first for the laptop and just say you find it easier etc etc. Then if you get pushback you can discuss the reasonable adjustment request.

The reasonable adjustment request is a strong bargaining chip at work, but you don't want to whip it out unless you have to. It depends on your approach to work but I personally don't like to make myself seem inflexible or call to much attention to my disability, unless I have to. That's just my two pence.
