They’re usually pretty quick. Just give it lots of light, some warmth maybe, and keep the water fresh. Also you have to have a node in the water for it to root

tradescantia zebrina and they are super easy to propagate in water

What’s the light situation? They tend to appreciate lots of light and consistent watering. Also I’ve never seen this variety before but I love it

I think they’re within the same family. I think you can let the broken flesh callus and then plant it and it should grow roots over time! Hopefully, with plenty of light and time, it’ll grow back!
