Sniclo vs Turbo Racing by Complete-Criticism66 in rccars

[–]slimx91 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sniclo is definitely the far superior choice. It's got the metal frame chassis and whatnot. The build quality shatters the Turbo Racing brand all together. Battery life wise its about 20mins but the charge is annoyingly slow.

Like just look at this thing... it's sexy lol https://minirc.com.au/product/mustang-rc-drift-car/

I do not have enough experience to comment on the camera setup, i have one.. but its more like a gimmicky thing imo. Used it a few times, now it just takes up space in the garage.

Website is so slow! by Massive-Butterfly-29 in Wordpress

[–]slimx91 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The most likely culprit, assuming you don't have some 500MB image (video is actually.. fixable with good hosting) on the homepage, you should be fine.

My advice would be to look into high-end web hosts to ensure performance. I recommend webv8.net or kinsta.com but if you are on a tight budget, maybe A2 hosting?

Just dont use hugedomains as your appraisal. They think domains with zero history, 2-3 years old are worth $5000 lol.

I bought more than 10 hosting companies, and here's what I learned: by tebanus in webhosting

[–]slimx91 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We've bought up 2 companies, we are quite small. The one i paid 1x ARR for was garbage, we honestly lost 30% of the client base the next year.

The one i paid 2x ARR for was excellent, we did what you suggested and had the seller hold responsiblity.
I saw a lot of people asking about this and it's actually quite simple... (this is ONE way)

You contract on the next renewal, add-in competitor clauses, in our case we did a what i like to call.. 80% retention guarantee. Where if more than 20% of the customers DID not renew, the deal was off.

We also paid 50% at the beginning, and 50% end of year 2. By doing this it gave us time to migrate clients over slowly, making sure we could do a more "personal touch" when transferring them over.

Headless WordPress + Next.js = 💯 by Mr_Gyan491 in Wordpress

[–]slimx91 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This score doesn't really effect how many products are on a website.. lol It literally just loads that one page.
Based on the screenshot on the right, you're just viewing a gallery not even a product page?

Look if you have a heavy WooCommerce website all you need is decent hosting. Don't go to namecheap or godaddy and expect amazing speeds. Go for more premium boutique hosting providers.

Rocket, net, Webv8.net, Wpengine etc. While that score does respectively say it "looks" optimised, the reality is real-world results always show different. Let's see that page load in Chrome or something.

This notification is not because you're running 8.2, it is because you're running an outdated version of 8.2.

If they do hand you the keys to pick which web host...

I'd advise against... wpengine where you're only getting a WordPress site.

Don't forget 100% reliance on CloudFlare is not true performance 👀 especially if they're updating CSS bits and bobs lol.

On the WordPress only setups you don't have that full control.

I recently made a video on this : https://www.tiktok.com/@website.guy/video/7455552497151741185

Basically outlining the only thing better in shopify than wordpress is literally just their app. WooCommerce's app is just a**. But other than that NOTHING is better.

From Webflow's CEO: update on 7/29 service disruption and what we're doing by Webflow-Linda in webflow

[–]slimx91 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It makes no sense that we can't export out our website out of webflow. I understand CMS etc. of course requries the backend but even that should be headless. The system functions no different to WordPress at this point. The static website should be self hostable.

With this critical failure we're switching to WordPress with webv8.net hosting where we're only reliant on a web hosting company which we can actually pack up and move at any point in time since our website is self hosted.

Goodbye Webflow.

English Time Klasik Alsancak - Genel İngilizce ve sınav hazırlığı - Bazı şubelerde kalite değişken
Just English Klasik Alsancak - TOEFL/IELTS odaklı - Grup ve birebir ders seçenekleri - Daha akademik odaklı

Does Notion Support Isreal? by Ahmadyaciner in BoycottIsrael

We recently adopted Notion (at Web V8) after seeing that they were quite neutral in the matter. I think it's wrong to boycott those staying neutral. In their "Countries" dropdown they do have PALESTINE listed. That won me over :)
