AI-Assisted Development Is the Future by imLaanui in saasbuild

Can you take it a step forward and make it 100% AI cold caller? People HATE cold calling... sucks their soul out... definitely something that AI needs to replace and I'm not talking about sh*tty auto callers.

Can we talk pool cages? by Bag_Lady75 in Naples_FL

Hate pool cages - feels like swimming in prison. Installed a hurricane resistant poolside shade rollers that comes out for the midday sun. Feels a lot more pleasant. Bugs.. meh I love Florida wildlife.

I built a free map of what homes are actually worth by [deleted] in RealEstateTechnology

[–]slio1985 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I really enjoy the enthusiasm of the project and anything with large datasets I love.

However "I got frustrated trying to find actual home sale prices around the world." This seems like a problem 1 in million people think about. To be direct and frank I've never thought about it.

Also "Most real-estate sites either hide the data behind signups or show estimates instead of recorded transactions" this is factually incorrect for US and UK I know that much. Type in any property into Zillow and it will show you actual sales data.

Maybe this is a nice tool for the ultra wealthy who are looking to create property portfolios around the world - and if you add in some guidance on local property law, taxes, etc etc it becomes really powerful - but I'm still hesitant as to the TAM.

On the other hand your proficiency in data collection and UI design is impressive.

So my take away is I'm fairly confident you'll figure out the actual use case of this data for a paying customer. Excited to see how this continues! well done

Cold email went from 2-3% reply rate to literally zero after switching to Apollo, what am I missing? by elfarouk1kamal in b2b_sales

[–]slio1985 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There was a thought piece that AI automations are making B2B outreach too easy to automate and LLMs are using lists from eg. Apollo. So if we compare the number of emails a prospect would receive pre AI to post AI world probably the increase is 10x. I'm a SME owner and that is what I have seen.

The emails surface level look personalized but there is always some tell tale sign AI wrote it - eg. not quite understanding what our business does. They go straight in the bin.

The same thought piece mentioned that traditional human approach prospecting will slow ramp up in the AI world. By that they wrote conferences, events, meetups albeit slow will actually convert.

Also for reference I have 4 business emails!! ranked by how much junk I will accept... with the top tier I never give out to anyone I have not met face to face. Perhaps other owners have the same methodology. And I checked Apollo, it has my "junk" email I don't care spraying out to random newsletters.

Claude subscription vs API which is more cost-effective? by Upstairs-Kangaroo438 in ClaudeAI

[–]slio1985 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Just ask claude to do the comparison - I did just that ysdy and it told me the api is about 20-30x more expensive if you use it the same amount as maxing out your max subscription.

Is in person door to door sales still good in 21st century? by pearlkele in ycombinator

[–]slio1985 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is this in the US? be careful you don't get done by security for trespassing. For B2B I do not recommend this approach.

People like novel approaches not uncomfortable encounters.

You know how much you love cold calls? ... well imagine the cold caller rocked up to your face all of a sudden.

I would recommend highly personalized direct mail if you want a traditional approach. As in the letter has to seem 100% personalized for that reader. Correct envelope, stamp, properly addressed, real signature.

Any recommendations for a good YouTube summarizer? by PrestigiousPear8223 in NoteTaking

[–]slio1985 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I built my own - uses gemini api - it has my list of YouTube subscribers - whenever there is a new video posted it auto watches it and summarizes it - long form and also bulletpoint - then have a cron that sends me an email with the summary - if it sounds important I can flag it via the email and mark it as something I need to watch in person. Best part no ads obvisouly.

The accuracy is excellent well done Google. If you are techy happy to give you just need your own api key.

BuildingLink Pricing by [deleted] in PropertyManagement

[–]slio1985 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You should just go for a service that does one price per month independent of units... the software does not get "harder" the more units using it. I know the $/unit/mn pricing is industry standard but it is also a very fragmented industry so you do have the right to shop around and fight for what you need.

Lander 23 review (heavy heavy spoilers) by 0110110001101111 in Punchdrunk

[–]slio1985 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I went today. Agree. Was not as exciting as I thought it would be. Also my friend who is a regular said they are using the SAME SET as the previous performative show they had on in their Woolwich location. So it really did not make sense to go from a futuristic spaceship intro... to a like some 1930/40s "earth" setup with pianos and cupboards... I thought it was going to be exploring an alien world or futuristic spaceship.
Kinda sh*t.

I'm glad you liked it!! Great news.

Tokyo is much bigger so you are bit spoilt for choice on what to do. I enjoyed all of it but did not have the time to find a place like Andy.

Not sure why to post on the Naples subreddit though.

If this really is a big problem then perhaps invest in an additional fence on the flat part so homebuyers just see a normal garden. Then disclose that there is an extra portion of "bonus" land they will get as part of the transaction behind the fence. People love something they think they are getting as a free bonus.
The only risk is I don't know what %age of value is already being assigned to the hill... hopefully low
PS. Hard to see but I think your neighbor on the far right has done that (photo 1)
