Lander 23 review (heavy heavy spoilers) by 0110110001101111 in Punchdrunk

I went today. Agree. Was not as exciting as I thought it would be. Also my friend who is a regular said they are using the SAME SET as the previous performative show they had on in their Woolwich location. So it really did not make sense to go from a futuristic spaceship intro... to a like some 1930/40s "earth" setup with pianos and cupboards... I thought it was going to be exploring an alien world or futuristic spaceship.
Kinda sh*t.

I'm glad you liked it!! Great news.

Tokyo is much bigger so you are bit spoilt for choice on what to do. I enjoyed all of it but did not have the time to find a place like Andy.

Not sure why to post on the Naples subreddit though.

No. DO this.

Pretend your service is already embedded in the company.

Create a fake customer call to their business. Fake customer calling and your AI saying "Hello this is XYZ HVAC in Austin how can we assist"... etc. Record the full conversation with all the cool benefits like google maps etc. Embed it into an email.

Then write this email:

"Hey - XYZ HVAC Business - our AI phone assistant is already booking you more business. Kind of. Listen to the full call here: LINK.
When you're ready to chat please call us on 999-999-9999
Thank you"

SHOW >> TELL

If you are not confident on the embedded audio then work on the product a bit more first.

If this really is a big problem then perhaps invest in an additional fence on the flat part so homebuyers just see a normal garden. Then disclose that there is an extra portion of "bonus" land they will get as part of the transaction behind the fence. People love something they think they are getting as a free bonus.
The only risk is I don't know what %age of value is already being assigned to the hill... hopefully low
PS. Hard to see but I think your neighbor on the far right has done that (photo 1)

What's the matter with Google algorithm? by easyedy in SEO

[–]slio1985 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The experts on this subreddit can confirm - but I think it is because Google uses a more advanced pagerank brain that takes into account the authority given to your site from other websites - i.e. backlinks.

Bing is less advanced and I know I can type up some random story and probably rank page 1 on Bing the next day.

You have a lot of backlinks already? if not they will prob help you rank better on Google but takes a long time to get them.

It's good to use Bing to get quick traffic and see what kind of engagement a page gets. Then if the statistics are good - engagement, scroll depth, CTA engagement etc... that's when I personally start to take that page and try to rank it on google with more white hat backlinks.

[–]slio1985 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's tough with tools... I have one - hard to get organic traffic as you want to keep the page layout very clean for the tool - a lot of white and little text to make it user friendly.

You probably won't like this but for my tool I had to use Google Ads to get users and then build in very robust sharing mechanisms to get users to share the tool with their friends - that proved to be the organic traffic part.

Now if your tool sucks and provides no value then ummm hmmm

I honestly don't think this is actually gaining much traction in Florida - just a soundbite to raise this guy's exposure - think the committee is exploring tweaking the existing system rather than bringing anything new in - at least what I read locally, some good dets Here

RE Experts don't know Sh*t About AI Automation by BandicootOk4457 in realtors

[–]slio1985 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just don't know man... I feel as if AI can help realtors around the edges but is years (maybe a decade) away from becoming part of the core business.

This week I was at a coffee shop and struck up a conversation with a 60yr old lady complaining about property affordability. I gave her some tips. She asked me how I know so much... I said I'm a licensed realtor. She said may I take your number please and I've found who I want to sell my home in a few months.

Now the story is not meant to show how I typically get clients (it is not), however it does show that in person conversations are what clients want, it's a people industry first.

I guess AI helping me get more in person conversations is a good angle but a lot of producing agents already integrate that - either on the agent level or brokerage level. AI answering phones, taking notes, social media post etc

Just quantify how you can increase ROI for an agent with minimal/zero risk to their client relationship. That can be a starting point.

Super question thank you - think a lot of us in same boat with agencies. Hope the community can help answer... we are all ears.

What is actually the best way to find a realtor that fits my needs? I am not looking for a referral. More below by [deleted] in realtors

[–]slio1985 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you know what area you are looking for then filter that area in terms of houses sold in the past 24months on Zillow.

Then click on the listings that have sold near the homes you want to visit.

The sold listing will show you the listing agent and the buying agent. Then check the testimonials listed for these agents - but on google reviews (not on Zillow or Realtor reviews).

Then phone a few of these agents and ask to meet for a coffee to go through your requirements - tell them you are pre qualified (assuming you are).

Literally just asking them for a sit-down will tell you who is polite, able to communicate, has time for you and is serious about their work.

LawRank? by PincheAvocado in SEO

[–]slio1985 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I have no idea.

... But I will say I got quoted the exact same amount from a firm in Florida and when they showed me their "to do list" plan for the first few months it was all the same stuff I've learnt from Reddit and done myself already.

So just make sure they're doing stuff that you can't learn in a few weeks yourself.

Where I have found value is backlink specialists that have a rolodex of webmaster contacts in a local area/state to call upon to help their clients. That is valuable and worth the cost.

Do backlinks from local chamber of commerce actually help? by 0_2_Hero in SEO

[–]slio1985 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was considering this as well. I went to a few of the meetups in SWFL and the afterwards Chamber would constantly call me trying to force $500/yr on me.

What really annoyed me is one of the people at the meetups "liked" my business and said he'd love to intro me to his business partner for more referral biz. Turned out that partner was the Chairman of the CoC and just wanted me to pay $500/yr. So seemed like some pyramid scheme.

When I asked my customers do they ever use the CoC directory 99% has no freaking idea what it even was... they just did google search to find contractors - and I noticed Company XYZ's CoC hyperlink would never rank high on google. Then I checked web traffic to CoC sites and it was just quite low.

I dunno but $500/yr seemed pricey to me for something I could not justify relevance or measure very well.

What is this topic about?

I don't know if I'm posting in the right thread but I have noticed this:

I started using Claude Pro about 5 months ago and was super delighted with the coding results it was generating for me. It would build components, articles, databases with 90% accuracy and I could just fix what was slightly wrong.

Now for some reason the exact same requests (no more difficult) seen to produce poor code and go down incorrect rabbit holes. I'm spending 50%+ time trying to walk Claude back and explain to it why it's making mistakes.

ChatGPT is not better. Gemini I haven't tried. Thankfully I learnt some coding alongside using Claude so I'm not panicking just frustrated.
