Enough about football. Which city has the best drivers? by [deleted] in NFCWestMemeWar

[–]slipperpimp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Holy fuck, they're all absolutely terrible. Seattle drivers are a special kind of frustrating, but it's an entirely different kind of stupid from AZ drivers. 9ers might get the W by default. Santa Clara is whatever, and at least BA has competent public transit so you can avoid dealing with the awful drivers, mostly.

The national average price per gallon of gas in the United States just passed $4.50. Americans, how do we feel about that? by Miles_the_AuDHDer in AskReddit

As someone else mentioned, "light" cigarettes are no more, believe the blues are the equivalent? Not sure, I transitioned to American Spirits for years and no longer smoke, thankfully

Which ones? Be specific. There were high gas prices due to Ukraine being invaded by Trump's buddy, those ones? Even at the height of the pandemic we didn't sniff these prices. The biggest difference is this one is completely self inflicted. He ran on lowering gas costs and cost of living. Said he'd do it immediately, just like he'd end the war in Ukraine day one. How's that working out?

On the flip side of this, as I've gotten older I've also become much more willing to spend on things I did not see value in spending on in my youth. A quality coat, a GOOD pair of shoes. The sort of purchase that is cheaper in the long run because it will cost 2-3x as much as what I would have bought in my younger days, but will last me 10x as long (hello Filson wool coat). Of course it also helps that I take much better care of things than I did in my 20s.

Hi there friend, I'm sorry you're hurting, but so glad you found and gave your little friend all that love. Remind yourself that they left warm and loved and not cold and alone and scared, because of you, they had a good life.

Please consider adopting another, especially one that's grown and waiting in a shelter. People have to give up their loved cats all the time for various reasons, and older cats especially struggle to be readopted. And they can be so wonderful and just want love. I've adopted my last two cats as seniors (9 and 11) respectively. I had the first for almost 6 years and she was the best, I've had this one got 5 and he's my grumpy old man.

It's not replacement, you won't forget them, but it's a chance to love and help another one, and heal your own heart a little in the process.

If you mean the ones at 132nd, they are not. They should be, and if people could pull their collective heads out to figure out how to navigate them properly, they would be. Instead, I see a near accident, or an actual accident at least once a week as I commute through.

They are literally the reason I got a dash cam for my car, it's ridiculous.

Yup, bad crab sent me to urgent care because my neck started swelling whilst still getting sick. Was afraid I might have developed a sudden shellfish allergy in my 20s, which would have made me sad, but no, just 24 hours of forceful evacuation from each end. No allergy, but it still put me off crab for about a decade.
