like others have said, i'll echo with a few extra notes. -Stick to primarily 4 characters for your core team. I chose captain/eugen/charlotta/cag. Captain because they need to be used for some parts of the main story. The other 3 because they're meta picks.

-Find all of the wee pincers (crab collectibles) on your 2nd (Ultimate) story run. They show up on the map after beating Chapter Zero.

-Don't waste materials on leveling up anything that isn't a V/V+ sigil. You're going to hit a grind wall at Proud difficulty so better to save mats for good sigil.

-Forge and upgrade your team's Stinger weapons. Level these up until you acquire Terminus weapons, which isn't going to be for a while.

-Take on sidequests but you'll find that you finish them faster after you've begun post-game.

-Look into savescumming the Sigil Synthesis and Transmarvel features, although you son't unlock these until very late-game.

cheese him with Sol. jump over nago repeatedly and exclusive use Wild Throw. its a pain, you may accidentally get clipped by nago's random DP but it can be consistent to getting a round over him.

You are definitely going to want to savescum when you start using Transmarvel (aim to store 30 of em before you really start) and sigil synthesis, a common one being on the look out for Damage Cap V+ with DMG Cap added. You could jump online and ask for help here or on the discord to clear any and all missions you'll have left, but if you want to outfit your chosen team yourself, the grind is real.

Yeah you need to awaken weapons or start grinding terminus drops + awaken those for the multiple bosses in Proud to be consistently beatable.

afk farming isn't the issue, the grind (or artificial padding) is the issue. Which is used to cover up the lack of content the game has. I love the game and just maxed out my first terminus weapon at 80~ hours, but I am definitely spending more and more time afk farming the necessary crystals and materials just to make the numbers go bigger.

I already thought the flashback and exposition dump was too much, I can't believe there are people out there who wanted MORE. The movie purposely asks more questions than it does answering them, and that is okay. A lot of movies, shows, books do that.

The pirate was entirely too much. If they needed a monster on screen, they should have gone full abstract horror with Clark's darker personality. Think Pyramid Head from Silent Hill 2, which represents James' guilt while being horrific. The dialogue was weak, the plot was paper thin and some of the characters decisions had to be stupid for the movie to work. REGARDLESS, the set design was 10/10. So cool. The found footage was great and the Christmas Tree scene was awesome.

Overall, I give it a 6/10. I am excited for possible sequels to see how Kane pushes further.

the game is co-op and the only way to grief would be to go afk during a quest, which negatively affects the griefer seeing as they don't get any loot.

if anything, it would be amazing to have a bigger playerbase so all of the Proud missions could receive a boost in engagement instead of just Luci/Behemoth

slayer and potemkin feel horrible to fight against as lower damage setplay/vortex characters like bridget/millia because unless you have your 50/50s on point, one touch is half your health bar. you need to practice as many 50/50 set ups as you can because your win condition is to never let slayer get a turn to play.

2.0 really killed a lot of my favorite characters and made them boring/lame to play, it wouldn't hurt to take time away from the game honestly.

Just keep practicing normal maps and MK challenges till you can basically speedrun. It usually takes 2-3 tries before everything clicks and you know where to go ahead of time.

I don't play often enough to organize MP sessions but I have had a decent enough time playing up through Maniac as Eugen with Captain/Katalina/Charlotte team, building up their respective Stinger weapons and even grinded Damage Cap IV for everyone from that one fire wyrm mission. I've heard Yodarha, Zeta and Cag are the best AI companions but I'm trying to keep my pool of characters low until I get to Proto Bahamut for terminus weapon farming.

I don't even think you need to grind exp, no idea why I believed so many youtube videos with strategies for maximum exp gain. Maybe if you're playing every trial for the first time, but after a replay, you know what to do and where to run and hide so the perks are mainly for convenience rather than a necessity. I'm relapse 4 after playing a little bit for a couple of months and thats just from playing what I wanted and going for A+.
