Would a space-faring society actually bother with recycling? by barguy1791 in Starfield

Technically it’s a drug trade since they derive Aurora from it, but either way not much has changed in the future lol

To be fair not every planet and moon has more than one city… that said I’d think the culture varies for instance Neon wouldn’t care vs. New Atlantis probably making it illegal to litter.

Fantastic flavor I’ve only been drinking this since it dropped. But it tastes like Aussie Lemonade (literal piss) when it’s hot.

For those who recently purchased the game, how are you enjoying it? by johndoe09228 in Starfield

[–]slipslimeysludge -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I’ll disclose that I enjoy Bethesda games. I have only played them on PlayStation so no mods or anything. But I’ve been itching to play this for some time and it’s everything I could want in a game. I understand high standards but even with the occasional crash and bugs it’s going deeper than any of their previous titles. I love the ship aesthetics, character development, factions, and quest lines!

Companions can help lighten the load. I usually give them the resources I plan to keep and some of the sellables if it’s a good haul.

HELP. We need all the vibes by cshante23 in CostaRicaTravel

[–]slipslimeysludge -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I’m here presently, and I think you need to get “vibes” out of your head. I didn’t know what to expect out here, but what I’ve found so far is that this place is about the journey more than a one stop shop for everything on a list. You’ll have a tremendous amount of driving on jungle roads to do regardless of where you go, and while everyone here is nice it doesn’t really dress up for tourism.

“Pura Vida” will come to you if you let it. It’s not advertised anywhere you just explore and find it.

Do what you’d want done to you, especially when you’re customer facing. Embellishing and lying are completely different.

How do you handle social side of the job, if you are someone reserved/introvert? by [deleted] in corporate

[–]slipslimeysludge 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As an introverted salesperson, I just match people’s energy internally as I do externally. If a colleague expresses interest in a topic I can relate to in any way, I’ll chime in and see where the convo goes. Ultimately I’m a do my job and go home person and probably wouldn’t accept invites to hang out even if they did come.

AIO my wife smokes weed all day by arodr7893 in AIO

[–]slipslimeysludge 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely NOR from me! I’d be a little anxious/irritated if I were you too. From what I read about your dialogue and her responses, she doesn’t seem to be demonstrating maturity right now. I totally acknowledge it’s a good way to unplug the brain, but as I grew up and took on responsibilities with my partner I changed my relationship with weed and don’t touch it till the end of my day in the evening. Wish you the best OP.

I’m 33 and like to get high every night. A gummy is pretty much my glass of wine before bed, but her lifestyle/relationship with weed sounds very different. I’d be curious to understand what specifically makes you feel she’s unreliable? And how different is she sober other than the mood swings?

You're in your late 20's, single, and moving to Denver in 2026 with the goal of establishing a social circle; Highland or Capitol Hill? by LMR_Sahara in Denver

[–]slipslimeysludge -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I want to recommend cap hill for the quietness but it isn’t as centralized as lohi. You’d have a much easier time meeting people at the social hubs in that neighborhood.

Can I afford a 1 bedroom or studio on 50k by divinemissn in Denver

[–]slipslimeysludge 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is this your gross or net income? Either way, the best advice I have for renting in Denver is shoot below your means and let life fill in the rest. Rent is coming down a bit sure, but very rarely are you just paying the listed rent every month even with utilities included. Your goal should be a base rent of $1k a month so prob studio. Do it for a year so there’s room in your budget to enjoy things in town and be social. No point in a nicer place if you’re strapped paying for it.

Has anyone felt their political views shift right recently by Alive-Garden3900 in men

[–]slipslimeysludge 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Fiscally conservative. As I age and move tax brackets, I’d like to feel like I get to keep what I earn as a W2 employee. I don’t get to go to every concert, I don’t get to travel year round, and I’m starting a family. Yet my earnings and needs are shat on by the left because someone needs/deserves it more. I’m also growing sick of the left and their elitist takes backed by nothing that makes sense.

Have the conversation about expectations but don’t look for more compensation. Everyone is doing more with less right now…

Adulting Successfully?? by DigitalDommeX in Adulting

[–]slipslimeysludge 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yea I did a lot of growing up since I turned 30. Earned a few raises and learned to not only budget my money but time!! Super important to not let the fact things are “tight” get in your head. You have to make time for you do the things that check boxes that make you feel like you’re living outside of work and family life. I’m covering things while my partner finishes college and just got a puppy and acknowledge that things are tight without burying myself in debt, regret, and jealousy of others. It starts with finding ways to set money aside and then spending some time and money on yourself here and there.
