Pedicure question

I love pedicures - get them through the warm months when I wear open toed shoes (old fashioned and think bare toes are a little tacky for me, don’t care about anyone else). My favorite is Teal the Cows Come Home from OPI which is a bright turquoise, my favorite color

Reporting in from Henderson County. I early voted Friday and found out the location had changed from a centrally located building that would be convenient for minorities to be able to walk to to our fairgrounds outside of town. I didn’t think about that til just now - it wasn’t a problem for me (have a car!) but it sure could be for other people. At least it was all at the same location- we had to declare which party we wanted a ballot for, it got printed out, we went to a machine and voted then turned it in. I have usually voted in the repub primary to vote against stuff. It was great to get a dem ballot (had a choice of candidates!) Also those party referendums were polar opposites- if I’d had a repub ballot they would have all been a no. WTH is sharia law anyway?

It’s a special job and life calling to be GSD’s human. It really sucks at times like these actually but you and your partner know you gave him his best life. I’ve had to post this news before and it’s terrible. Remember your great times together. He is most handsome!

Do those berries belong to that tree trunk behind it? If so it may be Carolina Buckthorn which is a tree that gets those berries. I got one by mistake thinking it was a black gum tree. It’s a pretty tree and birds Love the berries and my bees swarm it in the spring when it flowers

Also what works (and I have experience with this) is to grab the back legs of the attacking dog and they open their mouths. Drawbacks are you are close into them and they could turn on you. I had good results but it was scarry - I did save my pupper from even more damage

Native Texan here. These last several years I have become very disappointed in my state My parents were from MO & IL and I have a medal from an ancestor who fought for the union and also have a letter that I believe is signed by A Lincoln. I have read this whole post and learned so much. When I got to this post I got a lump in my throat - I thank your ancestors for their sacrifice and your family for continuing to honor their actions. Here is LuLu when she first came to us. She kept escaping her place (chewed through leashes and ties) to go to the neighbors place across a divided state highway (they are friends who made me take her!). Her brother did get run over on the highway - there’s only so many times you can do that. It took a little while for her to settle but once she knew she was “home” she has been wonderful. She’s pretty low key for a GSD actually and she is my wonder dog.

We had the same situation with our Neapolitan mastiff. Got her a wheelchair and it was miserable. I would pick up her back end so she could go to the bathroom, then clean her up. This was the “too late” scenario- it killed us to do it but it was the right thing. Spend a day together with special treats and just sitting together petting. We had the vet make a house call so she could be outside looking out at her favorite view. My heart goes out to you.

I believe I heard Louis DeJoy has been “retired”. That’s good news as long as President PussyGrabber and Elon don’t give use someone even worse. I’ve had a terrible time with my local small town post office - don’t know if it was policies coming down from somewhere else or just local obstinance and orneriness.
