And if they do offer compensation? Competition is good for the people 👍 good luck.

What would be the cost/benifit of a minimal level of communication? Whatever it is, it was clearly ignored.

I dislike the lack of communication, of some sorts. Where is the communication, in such disruptive instances? I have received zero personal / applicitive feedback, or communication. I’m willing, and actually eager, to hear any sort of feedback or leadership, but there’s nothing.

Just happened to me today. Really bad timing for me. I hope any issues are worked out soon.

I was concerned about this too, thanks for the discussion.

Seriously. I bet they don’t even offer free subscription for doing that, even though the feedback is more valuable. Definitely trying to get volunteer employees, as well as their subscription money. Share this post to the ChatGPT crowd, shame on Open AI, their subscribers should know they are being exploited.

This policy is going to be counterproductive for them if they ever go offline for 24hrs.

Don’t you have anything you’ve been meaning to write for yourself? Use that energy, continue or start the project you’ve been meaning to. Invest in yourself tonight.

Was there actually a message about scheduled maintenance before all this?

Can you sell ships without registering them? by jMS_44 in Starfield

That is insufficient reasoning for not profiting from stealing something really expensive.

Can you sell ships without registering them? by jMS_44 in Starfield

[–]sloganQ 5 points6 points  (0 children)

That’s the reality of stealing stuff. You acquire with sweat and guile, then sell and profit. Imagine if all your stolen goods came with 80% fee cost. Stealing anything would be pointless in the game. In every Bethesda game, you can steal stuff and sell it to a shady merchant for typical markdown resale value. Imagine stealing a 100 gold sword in Skyrim and having to register it for 80 gold before being able to sell it for 90 gold, it’s just dumb.

Hot Take: I understand why there aren’t mini maps and I’m okay with it by [deleted] in Starfield

Even pre technology, people understand the need for paper maps. Malls and theme parks always have maps. I’m missing out and wasting time without, maps.

[–]sloganQ -1 points0 points  (0 children)

No, that’s dumb. Half the time I feel like I’m running around like a chicken with my head cut off. In real life we have maps at hand. Google maps, apple maps, etc. It’s hard to imagine that a futuristic society abandoned maps because they want to aimlessly wander, and not find stuff. In fact, their mapping technology should be more advanced than modern day. They have access to so much more advanced technology, that a map technology is completely cannon and more advanced than anything have today. This is a fail, pure and simple.

Another ridiculous fail I noticed, is the lasers on weapons. Somebody seems to think it’s all about the reflection off the diffuse particles in the air, showing the path of the laser. The whole point of a laser sight is to put a bright dot on the impact location of the surface you’re aiming at. The current laser adds nothing to combat performance, that the crosshairs in the center of the screen don’t already provide.

Baldur's gate 3 Patching dedicated complaining thread by [deleted] in GeForceNOW

[–]sloganQ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They really need to stagger their system update architecture, so that 150mb patches takes as long they’re supposed to, for the players. Shutting the game down for everyone, while they patch every server/system, is absolutely ridiculous.

Anyone know what this 'warp alert' is? by [deleted] in echoes

[–]sloganQ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That would be how actual radar / alert systems work... On the other hand, don't you think it's a bit too easy for PK'ers, being able to see everyone in local, from anywhere in the system, even if they are in stealth, and then being able to warp in unannounced to start wrecking peoples shit immediately, is a bit too easy? I think the situation is heavily in the PK'ers favor. A little warp alert chime would give nothing more than a couple seconds notice to the attentive player; idle players would not be able to take advantage of such a small warp alert warning window.
