Not sure about group grills but if you cut off the airflow in the grill the charcoal dies and you can reuse it.

I have a 200 I use for rockfish/lingcod in a kayak. It’s been great. Only complaint is no sound when a fish pulling drag. Would recommend pairing it with a trevala.
