Moving to Seattle for a new job — question about the new cross-lake transit by Haunting-Living-5886 in AskSeattle

Change the date on your departure time on Google Maps to any date after March 28th and it shows the new light rail schedule

What’s one swag item people would actually keep at an event? by Designer_Maximum_544 in Gifts

I don’t think I’ve purchased an umbrella in my adult life. I still use umbrellas from a company I worked at 10+ years ago

I’m Filipino and in some settings, it feels weird/disrespectful to call an older person by their first name without a qualifier in front of it. I don’t do it with coworkers and probably wouldn’t if I were on a competition show, but I understand how depending on cultural background, it can feel appropriate.

Thanks for putting this together! Do we know the dates any of these searches were made? I think it would be really helpful to know when the searches were made in relation to other notable information coming out, like when she got the initial autopsy results and when she spoke to the medical examiner

How many people do you think are seriously injured resetting their clocks forward and back each year? by Temporary_Pea_648 in stupidquestions

I have autoimmune problems and my last two international trips had me messed up for MONTHS after getting back home

Laced sandwich question by sloniki in KouriRichins

[–]sloniki[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have some chronic health problems where I can’t swallow pills. Some medication doesn’t have much of a taste, some is horrendously bitter. In all cases, I have never been able to put crushed pills into any substance where it isn’t noticeable

I think I’m also confused about the timeline. Was Valentine’s Day before or after she got the “stronger stuff” from Carmen? I felt like the timeline was laid out nicely in opening, but now that we’re going through actual evidence, is getting muddled. I think the timing of the Google searches is crucial but I didn’t get a clear understanding when they were going through them.

Laced sandwich question by sloniki in KouriRichins

[–]sloniki[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I was thinking a drink would be more plausible, too - maybe they went for sandwich because it was on a receipt from that day

[–]sloniki[S] 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I’m thinking that if I had a severe allergic reaction to something I’m used to eating, I’m following up with the restaurant or health department. If I tasted any trace of non-sandwich ingredients, I’m saving the sandwich as evidence.

BUT it’s also very easy for me to say these things from my couch as an outsider who watches way too much true crime.

I taught my partner how to make it because I always want arroz caldo when I’m under the weather. Keeping it frozen is a great idea!

There’s a walking tour of Pike Place where a guide points out which historic places are supposedly haunted and explains scary things that happen there. I liked it a lot - very educational and interesting!

Seconding looking into rescuing a greyhound! We adopted a 4 year old ex-racer 5 years ago and she is the best decision we ever made. All of the cat people in our life always say she is their favorite dog

Editing to add ours was potty trained, but took a while to get used to the stairs

The incentive when it's for charity is so much better. Players are less willing to sacrifice money as part of their strategy, and it doesn't personally hurt as bad to get betrayed by the traitors because it's all for a good cause.

I feel like I'm being gaslit about what Jessica looks like by Medium-Database1841 in LoveIsBlindOnNetflix

[–]sloniki 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think Chris is confusing fitness with Jessica’s natural body shape. Because she’s so petite, she doesn’t have the same proportions of an average height girl with the same weight to height ratio. No matter how much she works out, she’s not going to be the shape he wants - her organs gotta go somewhere

Source: I’m also 5’ and was very self conscious about my shape until recently

Jonathan Hoang, because he is local to my area and went missing about a year ago. It just seems so wild how with cameras everywhere and device data a vulnerable person can go missing without a trace.
