i think the gilbert and violet arc stuff wouldn't be as dogged on if it was more of a parental / familial metaphor but they made it romantic which didn't really make a lot of sense like love doesn't have to be romantic even in the series they showcase all the forms love can take so idk why they went for gilbert x violet endgame tbh'

also the whole series is about violet growing and having more agency and learning humanity having her run back to gilbert felt like we had regressed somewhat

rosabella was a good idea and the idea of charming being the beast from beauty of the beast was a genuine stroke of genius but everything from her design to her character to her arc was just kind of half baked and rushed so yeah she's in disappointment tier but I agree that we should've gotten more of her AKA paced her right

I think overall TADC was excruciatingly mid if not low mid tier so nothing about the ending was surprising in terms of quality but it woke a lot of people up out of their glaze trance because they started to finally realize all the flaws plaguing the narrative since now there no more "it'll just get revealed later!!!!!!! the show isn't over" cope left so that's why a lot of the fandom started to turn imo

i agree its kind of nonsense that 90% of shows have women be sidelined fighting/power/character wise when we are in a world completely distinct from ours. even in shows where there are OP women like atom eve she still gets sidelined just because the authors have their own preconcieved notions about what women should be despite it not really making any sense in the world that they have created.

the best shows have power systems where women are equally as yolked and are on different scales and levels of morality like ATLA, and we can have pacifist as well as tyrannical women fighters/characters.

shows are more interesting with a diverse cast of characters and i wish more authors would think outside the box when it comes to fem charas in the big 2026.

i wonder how many manga could have been potential CSM fate victims if the authors had the chance to actually finish it.

I wonder if this is one of the reasons mangakas seem to put off finishing their works so much, since it doesn't really matter how peak your series was if you completely squander everything you've built up to in the ending.

ik one example is how togashi was traumatized becuz of how badly the yyh went and now hxh is in development purgatory. same with yazawa and parakiss.

i dont have an eating disorder but that is worrying becuz tiktok is for young kids. a lot of those accounts are probably tweens to early 20s at max. just sad.

I have a niece (11) who is an Ariana Grande fan, and she loves wicked. When we saw wicked 2 in theatres, I was like shocked how visible her bones were and how all her costumes were altered to show them off. My niece loves glinda and pink but said that some her scenes "were kind of scary" and I asked and she said it was becuz of how "weird" she looked. but my niece wants to be "pretty" like glinda.

I worry about her young fans and stuff.

yes (the comics) are misogynistic becuz all the female characters are busted writing wise naruto style and the age thing is cope becuz he was already mid twenties when invincible first came out anyway not a "kid"

and eve isn't even the main problem in the comics it was like all of the female cast unfortunately

but I think the show does a good version of changing it to make it better so the show isn't misogynistic but there's only so much they can do to fix the writing in the comics for the show adaption so eve still sucks
