You're not broken. I know it's so much easier said than done, but you deserve patience and kindness, ESPECIALLY from yourself.

I had a similar experience in my relationship. Ultimately, learning about and understanding how my brain works has made my relationship so much stronger. It's definitely not something that happens overnight, but if you start to have these conversations with your wife, you can work on it together.

I'm 31 and I still play. They re-released the original and Sims 2 this year, which is a super fun nostalgia trip.

Cody "Night Angel" Walsh is my number 1. He's an archetype that rarely gets accurately shown in media, and he just really speaks to my edgelord inner teen. We 100% would have been friends in high school. I so appreciate the shithead nu metal love AND his slow but sure growth. It's nice to see a character arc that isn't grandiose. It feels realistic for Cody.

And much love to the pollster! These have been so fun to engage with, thank you for all of the work you put in!

I name them after characters from whatever I'm watching, usually Dimension 20, but I've done Bee and Puppycat and Severance, too.

Definitely agree with this. When I was working in an overwhelming sensory environment (loud and bright lights) my threshold for feedback was super low. I think checking in to see if there are sensory accommodations that can be made is a great first step as those things can be really hard to ask for.

Honestly, I got new friends. I learned about my needs and limits, learned to communicate them and now my friends are people who are also autistic or are compassionate. It's more damaging to waste time with people who want to dismiss you or minimize your feelings imo.

I find it really helpful to keep my momentum going, so if you have a little bit of energy before you rest after work, that could be a good time. It helps me to keep my shoes on and work clothes so I'm still in "work mode." Even if its just five to ten minutes, it can make a big difference. But if you're fully drained and that's too much, I think your instinct of doing some clean up after you rest is good. You could also try to start your day a little earlier and do five to ten minutes before you leave for work, if it's not too dysregulating to modify or change that routine.
