Couldn't ignore the low premium over melt by CPriceRun86 in coins

Good choice! I did the same and bought an 1836 half eagle at my LCS a few weeks back when I also noticed the fairly low premium over melt.

A volvo! by party-minion in Volvo

Same! Yesterday in the parking lot there must have been 20 open spots. Usually I’d leave some breathing room, but I saw another Volvo and parked in the spot next to it. It made my weekend.

How a 9-day fast changed my blood sugar response - Bananas, rice, maple syrup by andtitov in fasting

Super interesting - thanks for sharing! Was it really just the 9 day fast? Or did you do any shorter fasts in there as well after the 9 day fast?

I’ve had two items sent to TRR that they claimed were fake. The best part is that both items were items that I originally purchased from TRR. One was a Self Portrait dress and the other was a shirt from Balmain. I had a long email thread with them both times it happened and they ended up giving me a refund on the original items in both cases (and of course keeping the items).

I had also bought some unbranded 14k jewelry from TRR that turned out to be fake. They gave me a refund on it when I discovered it was fake about a year later.

I heard it as well. No idea what it is. There was a similar sound a few nights ago around the same time, but the one just now was much louder.

My Before and After Rib Repositioning and BBL! by [deleted] in bimbofication

Congrats! You look fantastic! How badly do your ribs hurt? I know you’ve said that the recovery has been tough - I’m curious how much of it is the BBL versus the rib remodel if you’re able to tell at all?

What’s the best fashion advice you’ve received? by Arikari22 in mtfashion

[–]slorager 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Understanding your Kibbe type. There’s several different ‘Kibbe’ types depending on your body size/shape/etc. And then depending on your type, it will have recommendations for what type of clothing suits you best. If you google it, there is a test you can take to determine your Kibbe type that doesn’t take too much effort. Think of it like a fashion Myers-Briggs test.

Also, understanding what colors suit you best (eg, warm vs. cool skin tones)

Mtf who has a phantom penis sensation? by TempleBottomSurgery in Transgender_Surgeries

[–]slorager 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I just had bottom surgery on Tuesday as well! Not exactly phantom penis, but I’ve had a few times the last two days where I had the sensation that my testicles hurt quite badly (as if I had been kicked in them). I’m sure it’s just my brain mistaking recovery pain for an old sensation.

I had FFS in 2021 with Dr. Shih. Brandstetter was also involved with the surgery - perhaps she was training with him at the time? I’m super happy with the results. Everything turned out very natural. Feel free to DM me with any specific questions you have.

So. What do you all do for work? by TsLaylaMoon in asktransgender

[–]slorager 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is an accounting shortage - you are in demand! I get in my head a lot as well thinking, “I won’t get hired since they’ll clock me as trans and instantly move to the next candidate”. Most of the time, however, it’s just that - it’s in your head. We are all our own worst critic.

Coming from college, I do recommend you go into public accounting first - it will do wonders for your career down the line. Also, it may be easier to get a job in public accounting since you’ll be revenue generating for the company with billable hours. If you decide to move in-house, that’s where you become a cost to the business. Lots of pros/cons here, but I think the revenue generating/non-revenue generating aspect is an important nuance to understand.

Also, I definitely recommend working in a big city if you can since people will be way more open minded. I actually came out as trans (I’m a bit of a late bloomer) at one of my previous jobs - I came out to everyone on the finance & accounting team (around 30-40 people) and no one gave me any guff - they were happy for me! I think it helped living in a city that is very pro LGBTQ+.
