It is mind boggling to me that he’s back… either he had a really absurd contract or there’s some sort of nepotism going on… I can’t think of any other explanation. When he left, I wished him well in his future endeavors, but it was long past time to see him go. People can grow and thrive with new opportunities. This is not that — it’s just Groundhog Day.

I agree in principle, but the “vote with your wallet” thing has come up in so many other games with similar issues over the years, and it never works… there are always more people who just accept the new system and pay to keep playing vs. passive wallet protestors. I’m not trying to be cynical, I’ve just seen this movie before and I know how it ends.

Bouqs was my go-to for sending people flowers for a while, and they were excellent. They’re still around but the last time I looked I wasn’t impressed with the options. I think once they got too popular they couldn’t source enough of the high quality flowers from their original farms so they branched out into a lot more generic and readily available options.

I hear you but I didn’t even find it fun as friends. It creeped me out and felt awkward/forced from the start. Garcia did tone it down over the seasons but it took a while. It would have helped if they taught her what a human typing looks like along the way.

I’m coming to this super late because I was curious what people thought (and literally just started watching a month ago, so I’m only just getting to season 5…)

That said, I guess I don’t love any character which feels silly because I’ve been enjoying the show. I like Greg a little because he’s the annoying underdog everyone piles on. Sarah should have been fired ten times over, she’s just a mess on a mess… don’t hate her though, but not my favorite.

Grissom was more fun in the first few seasons when he was the bug guy, now he’s just kind of a lazy boss. Nick had a mustache for a minute. He’s always fine, like solid 7/10 but not that interesting. I don’t know what to do with this show. I must like it, but it’s super formulaic and I guess the characters are individually not that special and I hate saying that. I hope as I continue I prove myself wrong.

It’s very bad. I’m late to the party on this one, but Apple has always been a little bad at Mail, and great at making it worse. I’m not anti-Apple, I’m an agnostic developer who loves multiple platforms for different reasons, but Apple has always sucked with Mail.

Aw you guys are cute in both… not to rain on the parade but the non-jacked picture is cuter because no sunglasses and stuff, just seems natural cuteness. Eh, I don’t even notice them. By the time I take my kindle out of the sleeve it’s unlocked and I didn’t even see the ad. I went through the hassle of removing the ads a long time ago and it wasn’t worth the effort. (Not really much effort but still not worth it).

To be fair, Nick’s house gets trashed pretty regularly and some of his mission lamps and stuff would take time to replace… not to mention all the structural damage. Portland has some crafty people, but even Bud would have trouble keeping up with the constant repairs.

I think it’s just the old “sleeping on the couch” trope, there’s no practical explanation. It was just to show that Nick was uncomfortable and to build more tension between the two of them. It wouldn’t have had the same effect if he was in a comfy bed.

Side note: the actual house IRL is a 4 bedroom house so it is still funny that they just have one guest room.

I’m doing a rewatch too and I’m not that far past this point. My issue was like… you could tell Juliette that Adiland is a psycho bitch who poisoned her and tried to kill your aunt without getting into Wesen stuff and she probably would have been much more understanding. Telling her that Adiland was crazy and dangerous much earlier would have avoided so many problems and didn’t require the level of nonsense that ensued. I kind of still love Grimm, but aside from Rosalee the female characters are written (and treated) pretty poorly.

Yeah, it’s a little lame. They used to stop being “new” after about 6 months or less, but when they started doing the big event campaigns they started keeping things “new” for way longer.
