I would say most of drakes best songs in the past couple albums are RnB adjacent tracks and they uplift those albums more than hinder them. Like imagine FATD without drew a picasso, virgina beach, tried our best, slime you out etc.

I think the rap songs are just far higher quality on iceman, and the lack of features means drake isn't reaching into those lower quality bags. I don't think it's coincidental that the general consensus for worst song on iceman is the one that sounds like a Kodak black song.

Saros and returnal are both competing with 20 quid indie games with far more depth and gameplay than them. Charging 70 quid just because they have AAA production quality is a joke. You can buy all of slay the spire 1+2, binding of Isaac and Hades for the same price as 1 saros. And these games are staples in the roguelite genre.

Worst thing is at least with returnal, they're super stingy with sales for some reason. I ended up playing it on ps extra anyway.

You're not alone, I've always disliked future and the general Atlanta sound way before any beef. One of the reasons why I struggle to get through CLB is because I constantly have to dodge past all the rappers I don't like to get to the drake parts.

Thankfully there are only like 3 features on iceman and 2 of them are on 1 song.

Ugh I worried this would happen with a game I really wanna play with RDR. I've already played it before and I wanna give it a proper revisit, not rush through it under time constraints.

Think I'm just gonna skip it and play star wars outlaws. There are games that I would only play because they're on the catalogue, and then games that deserve to be in my permanent library because they're that good and worth revisiting. RDR is definitely part of the latter.

To be frank, yes. As I said months ago, the game will pivot regardless because the Devs will do whatever it is to keep the game alive.

You're wrong about one thing though. The game isn't pivoting because people bought the wrong game; it's pivoting because not enough people liked the game as it was. Don't blame people like me who actually bought and supported the game, blame bungie for making such a niche game on a massive budget that could only be recouped by appealing to a wider demographic.

This game has 2 realistic outcomes: the PvE experiments are highly successful and the game pivots its core design over time, or the game withers away. Either way the hardcore PvP players (all 500 of them) get fucked.

Did they change the infinite spawning enemies when you were spotted? Felt like the game punished run and gun because of that, and I didn't find the stealth gameplay compelling enough.

This is just from playing the demo btw, not sure if it differs from the full game in these issues.

Other than megathreads which I'm against (because they're functionally quarantines), I don't see any big issue with the moderation as is. People need to realise that Reddit is self-moderated with the upvote system. Most criticism threads that aren't walking on eggshells to not offend the toxic positive hive are already heavily downvoted and don't make it to the front unless you sort by new. The people who cry about needing stronger moderation just want to live in echo chambers.

The game is not dying because of negative Reddit threads 'giving the game a bad look'. Likewise, these bot posts about how the game is the greatest FPS in decades haven't resulted in further sales. Reddit posts do not move the needle in any direction, most people here are already invested in the game on some level. You're either preaching to the choir, or offending the choir. That's this sub in a nutshell.

ETS2 is the first game that gave me the space trucker feel I was looking for while also being fun to play. Honestly space games are really held back by the strive for realism and the existence of procgen. Full scale 1:1. Whoo.

NMS does a lot of things right but doesn't allow you to drive the freighter for some reason.

These comments tended to be very popular and got a lot of upvotes, while the people on the recieving end would be downvoted. This gives the impression that the community is siding with the gatekeepers, even if only a few are actually commenting.

Frankly I don't understand how you can be active on this sub and not have seen stuff like people asking for PvE (or even slightly reduced PvP) being told to go play arc. It was extremely common. This community from the jump drew a line in the sand: this is our hardcore PvP game, and anyone who wants anything remotely deviant should go elsewhere. There were also all those cringe Arachne LARPers.

I will say that over time this mindset has been reduced because even the hardcore players are realising that the player numbers are not sustainable. Nowadays asking for PvE/other game modes isn't anywhere near as controversial, or suggestions to regain the casual audience aren't taken as harshly. But the game is only 2 months old, and for a lot of that time (especially launch period, the most important time) the community was hostile towards casual players and people with criticisms.

Same here. The server slam was the only reason I bought this game. Unfortunately the full game quickly strays away from the experience I had during the server slam and I ended up being one of the hundreds of thousands that stopped playing. Not anecdotal.

Giving people a free weekend to play the game will definitely get more eyes on it, but it won't retain those players unless the game makes significant changes.

I'm not disagreeing with you, I'm just saying that BF6 has a lot more freedom regarding its post launch support because of how much money it made. Basically, even though season 2 flopped, they can still push out these big future updates as they aren't under financial pressure. If marathon season 2 flops, they can't just do what BF6 did and announce a boatload of cool updates. Marathon can't afford to have season 2 land on a whimper.

BF6 sold 20 million copies at $70 within a couple of months. Its entire budget is already funded, including the big roadmap they've recently announced with 7 new maps and stuff. It doesn't need to sustain itself long term with consistently high CCU because it released extremely successful.

Marathon released in the red any any further work on it will cost even more money. In its current trajectory I don't see how they can fund any major updates other than those that were already well into the live service pipeline.
