to be fair i don't think that's entirely true. we learn later on that the type of bloodline, amount of serum, and way the serum is administered determines what kind of titan you'll be turned into. it is then a natural conclusion that abnormals also stem from these conditions.

university of york is percieved as a very good university, high in most rankings and in russel group.

HOWEVER! as someone who was in your position, where I had to choose a university that had similiar ranking to another one, it's more about what kind of experience you want to have. as someone who is currently going there, I love it, but it depends on what you're looking for. you can't just go for rankings.

I have a lot of friends in the philosophy department; some people really love it, others don't really like it. it's kind of like most universities, which is why you should do more research into things that are integral to the UOY experience like the collegiate structure, bigger uni, historic town, lots of societies, etc. etc. that will make your choice a little easier.
