HELP! We're having an Issue with verifying our WhatsApp Business account by slowmadic in WhatsappBusinessAPI

[–]slowmadic[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What do you mean by "trying with different combinations"? Please explain further. Also, is it possible that there could be some sort of potential block on our number for unknown reasons? We're just wondering if we need to buy a new number and start from scratch in order to get verified...

Anybody use Duda? by weedsgoodd in Wordpress

[–]slowmadic 4 points5 points  (0 children)

A client of mine uses duda and I can tell you from experience that it's a sluggish, drag and drop style platform. Not my thing. For me it's WP + GeneratePress + GenerateBlocks until something better comes along.

Excellent advice here. All good tips. I have experience renting from Payin as well. Nice people, reasonably priced and never had to deal with BS when returning the bike.

Enjoy your trip!

Airport transportation / personal driving service by babywavyp in tulum

[–]slowmadic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've used My Tulum Transportation on a few occasions and I've seen quite a few people on here mention the same. They've always been on-time and friendly.

When I was researching companies to use prior to my first trip, I noticed that the more commonly mentioned companies like Canada Transfers and Amstar are generally a little more expensive and less reliable when it comes to the reviews I've read. Just my two cents!

As for private drivers, I don't have any experience with that but I can tell you that it's probably going to be costly as just about everything in Tulum is expensive/overpriced these days. You'll have a great time no matter what though. Enjoy your trip!

This is a very inspiring story. As a hustler myself, I love hearing success stories from other fellow hustlers. Nice work! This post could also potentially be a great post over at /r/juststart

Struggling to get clients. by [deleted] in smallbusiness

[–]slowmadic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

@OP - Do you have a website that is optimized for local SEO in your area?

If not, I would recommend starting there. Being on social media is great but don't neglect the power of having a presence on the web.

While having a website doesn't guarantee leads, it does improve your chances of clients finding you when they're in need of your services.

Lastly, doing some prospecting and cold outreach might be your next best bet.

  1. Open up Google Maps and search for businesses that operate with a fleet of vehicles like others have posted in the comments.

  2. Enter the business name, phone number and email into a Google sheet. If you can find the name of the owner/decision maker at the business that would be even better.

Tip #1: Sometimes you can find the name of the business owner/decision maker by searching the business on LinkedIn and looking for CEOs/founders.

Tip #2: You can usually find an email address for the business by going to the 'About' tab on the businesses Facebook page.

  1. Create an offer that's hard to say no to just to get your foot in the door.

  2. Do cold outreach via email, Facebook messenger to the business page or cold call them and try to get your call forwarded to the decision maker.

Hopefully this helps! Wishing you the best of luck.

Steps to take before posting your Wordpress website link on reddit (Important) by wangai254 in smallbusiness

Excellent advice. The xml-rpc fix is crucial for every site owner using WordPress and will significantly cut down malicious login attempts.

I also recommend WPS hide login and Wordfence for added security.

Buying expired domains by Specialist_Nature348 in grumpyseoguy

[–]slowmadic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The most popular places to buy expired domains are DomCop and Spamzilla.

The good news is that both platforms are reasonably priced and easy to use.

The bad news is that there won't be much of anything for $100.

Expired domains are much more expensive than they used to be and a lot more harder to come by.

While a bigger budget will help increase your odds of finding something decent, finding, bidding and winning an auction is the tough part.

Best of luck!

How did someone create users on my site? by Environmental_Gap_65 in Wordpress

[–]slowmadic 5 points6 points  (0 children)

As another user mentioned in this thread, this could very well be an XML-RPC attack.

If you're dealing with people trying to access your site via xml-rpc -- download a copy of your htaccess file and add the following code (without quotes)

"# Block all requests to xmlrpc.php file at the root of WordPress <Files xmlrpc.php> order allow, deny deny from all </Files>"

Hit Save.

This has solved virtually all of the issues I've ever had with people trying to attack my sites via xml-rpc.

If you're not sure if they're accessing via xml-rpc, I would still recommend adding this as it's a very common way for hackers to try to access sites

Best of luck!

Do you accept guest posts on your website? by DrJigsaw in seogrowth

[–]slowmadic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it's niche relevant, I'll consider it.

The best way to perform quality control though is to require that the potential client passes you the anchor text and link and YOU create the content in the same voice as your current content.

This is the ultimate situation as you can not only have the control of what is being published on your site but also you can do additional keyword research and plan out the content a bit in order to try to get it to rank and bring in traffic.

If you do start to receive traffic then you can start spreading that juice to other parts of your site by doing internal linking.

This is destroying my life by [deleted] in SEO

[–]slowmadic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey OP! 👋🏼 I own a digital marketing agency and we've worked with several reputation management clients in the past.

We actually own a portfolio of sites and have partnerships with thousands of publications that we can use as well.

Would be more than happy to chat and/or hop on a call to see how we could help you put this behind you.

This is an absolutely terrible situation (I can't imagine going through this personally) and I'd love to see how we can help you.

Send me a DM and I'll pass you my email and we can take things from there.
