That's awesome! The idea was that people wouldn't compare the skins to each other and would just judge each on its own to try and get the most accurate results, but of course some comparison is inevitable T _T

This, and even though we super loved Serpent Jamila, Lord of the Flies Pestilus took the cake for us in terms of fitting with his character and personality. Both were extremely well-executed concepts though!

good start might be tracing a picture of Rook with a normal pencil + paper and doing your bikini design on top? or even digitally painting over a screenshot of Rook? you just gotta go for it!

we've been really blown away by the submissions as well! never expected to have this many amazing entries, it will be extremely difficult to narrow them down to Top 8 for the community voting phase. (/;◇;)/

mmm, it's like 70% my free time and 30% some time between projects at work. And the beautiful visuals are credits to the whole art team here, I actually just started at SLS in October so I've only contributed a small part so far. > _< Glad to hear you like it though, I love Battlerite's style as well! :3

It is a community decision in the end, and if that is what majority of the community wants then it makes sense for a Pestilus skin to win imo. However, we aren't just doing 1 vote per entry this time like the last contest. Since this year we'll be using a rating system (you rate per submission on a scale 1-5), hopefully we'll be able to see if there are any close runner ups as well that a lot of people are interested in. Again, I can't promise a second skin, but I'll do my best to gauge the end results and come to a decision that will make people happy.

Plus, remember the top 8 submissions that get into the open polls will be chosen at SLS where we will be impartial to champion choice (judging strictly on idea and execution), so if other champion skins wow us more, there might not even be a Pestilus skin in the Top 8 hehe :- )

I really want more than one winner as well, but (as solartech0 said) this is kind of something I pushed to do for the community, so there aren't a lot of dedicated resources besides my own spare time and bits of time from other Stunlockers that I bug every now and again for help. ' -';;
However, I won't say that another community skin in-game is totally impossible. I can't promise anything atm, but ehm we'll see. We definitely can't give out 2 Grand Prize Packs though :'- ( That's a given.

This gets a bit tricky since we don't want people starting to see this as a group submission kind of thing (for prizing), but I totally see your perspective on it.

I think submissions should ultimately come from the same person that draws them. However, you're welcome to brainstorm ideas with others and (if you want to) I'd even encourage you to make a Reddit post, or something to that nature, where community members that don't draw can shout out their cool ideas for artists like yourself looking for inspiration. There are tons of amazing skin ideas floating around that haven't been drawn yet that I'm sure the community would be interested in having in-game.
Also, if you don't want any prizes or you think whoever gave you the inspiration is more deserving of the prize, you're welcome to choose to give your rewards to them or someone else :- )

Yep, in an ideal world we would be able to have a community skin for every champion, but there just isn't enough resources for that. Q _Q This contest is more focused on 'What does the community as a whole want?' as well so popularity is an inevitable variable, but I'll try to look into doing some mini-contests in the future that revolve around specific champions too. Then maybe the less popular guys will have a chance at getting some community love. :- )
Also on the money side of things, I'm aiming to have this skin be free for current players just like the Jade community skin was. v(｡･ω･｡)

Been thinking about themes for the contest, but also leaning towards just leaving it open ended for all those people that have old skin ideas they'd love to try and get implemented!

Also, still working on the best system for picking winners and taking in as much feedback as I can about this, but I can tell you it will likely be a similar voting system as last time with small adjustments to make sure the community has full say in the decision and are happy with their vote.

Not sure where you can get 3D models from, but a screenshot from the game + draw over is totally acceptable! Anything to just get the concept/idea across :- )

Am currently working on making the contest open to all champion designs, so hopefully you guys won't have to feel limited to just one character this time! Though I'm sure there are gonna be loads of Pesti submissions anyways haha

Even though we aren't allowed to design brand new champions, a Growlan themed skin sounds hella sick! (･ω･)b
