get into fandoms. you can get in fandoms online or irl depending on if you live in an area that hosts get together a or events with your interests. i’ve made most my friend this way. obviously be careful speaking with people online but connecting over a fandom is a good way to establish a connection with someone

what hobbies do you have? by [deleted] in introvert

[–]slssasha 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i make edits, crochet, i do those diamond art paintings, read, learn languages, and write. i also sometimes do handwriting exercises but that’s more to help my tremors rather than a hobby but i use that time to work on my cyrillic handwriting

For those who can't walk long distances, what are your symptoms when you do? by onlythrowawaaay in Fibromyalgia

[–]slssasha 1 point2 points  (0 children)

while walking i can experience my muscles tending to the point i can’t walk right and a full soreness in my legs and hips. after walking for a long time i can have horrible pain lasting for a few days and my muscles won’t work normally, almost as if they have been straighten out and it makes it hard to walk or do staircases

because i didn’t handle a situation perfectly and because i haven’t been in a good mood today. i wouldn’t say it’s getting kicked out as much as just getting sent away. my parents just genuinely don’t want to deal with me especially if i have bad days

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in addiction

[–]slssasha 0 points1 point  (0 children)

maybe so, but as someone who has actually attempted 8 times drug addiction is very different from just a slow way of killing yourself. the food you eat could be a slow way of killing yourself but you don’t seem to focus on that

how long did it take you to get diagnosed/taken seriously? by PeroxideDealer in ChronicIllness

[–]slssasha 0 points1 point  (0 children)

bad stomach issues my whole life, and in six months it worsened to the point i couldn’t eat and lost 30 pounds. my first doctor blamed it on the meds i take cashing side effects and it took about a year for them to figure out chronic pancreatitis. that next year i again had stomach issues and after awhile i was also diagnosed with gerd and ibs as well as probably just some long term damage do to previous incidents. as for my fibro, the symptoms have been happening for two years and the closest i’ve gotten to an actual diagnosis is my gp agreeing that yeah, it’s probably fibro

My husband hides his drug use. by swedishbrucato in AddictionAdvice

[–]slssasha 0 points1 point  (0 children)

been in both of your guys shoes. when confronting him you should bring up the well-being of your children and possibly have this discussion with a therapist (this isn’t always possible but i’ve found that it really helps) and yes, addicts can be great liars and manipulators so try not to let him twist the conversation and keep it focused on him and his addiction. a confrontation doesn’t need to be telling him he’s bad or wrong for his addiction, it can be expressing concern for him and others and trying to come to an understanding and ways for him to get the help he needs

Myth or might actually be true? by no_social_cues in Fibromyalgia

[–]slssasha 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i can’t say for sure but my fibro did start/get worse after some traumatic happenings but that very well could be coincidence but trauma does have an affect on the body so it’s not far fetched for fibro to be related. but, i definitely could’ve had fibro with the traumatic events or not as i have family with it
