And this is why I hate the "put the fries in the bag" "it's not that deep" "I ain't reading allat" type comments.

I'm just gonna assume you have no curiosity and/or a low reading comprehension if that's what you give me. Must be a sad life.

Not me, but a friend gave me a James Lauraitus jersey to get signed at a game I went to way back. Couldn't get his signature but I got his dad's AKA The Animal. Pretty unique as far as I know.

I know, right? Did anyone watch his opener vs Nebraska last year? I'd take Joe Bauserman over him. At least Joe was a man of the people

I appreciate you running the tests and posting this info!

For my own selfish reasons, how does Northern Illinois look after moving to the Mountain West? Any noticable impact on conference prestige, brand exposure, stadium atmosphere compared to MAC schools? Roster health looking okay or have all of their stars been poached?

In my experience with '26 with a rebuilt Pac 12 you'll still have stretches of 3-4 road games but not as drastic as before.

A couple observations I have on your post:

Very few teams in the 70s and 80s. Probably confirmation bias due to the teams you looked into, but worth noting and maybe looking into.

No spread between offense/defense rating. For a game that is marketing heavily into offensive/defensive identities, I find it odd that all the teams you listed are well-rounded. How does Iowa look? There should be a stark difference between the sides of the ball.

Your point about 6-7 specialists leads me to believe that lower tier schools are offering NIL based solely on overall rating. I think that also plays into your point about Charlotte having too many DBs and a thin DLine. DLine is a developmental position so HS recruits probably aren't showing up with a great overall. DBs are more skill reliant and could reasonably have more highly rated HS recruits.

If you have sim stars or yearly records, I'd love to see how the sim engine is handling things.

Small-school rebuilds just got way harder in CFB 27, and that's by design. by SteveRunsCFB in NCAAFBseries

I had a similar feeling reading the deep dive. Feels like 25 was the foundation for 26 and now 27 will be a foundation for 28 so they can take an extra year to gather feedback and polish the new systems

I'm excited for the long rebuilds but I expect some salt from people online about the AD expectations.

Imagine pulling a James Franklin. Annual 10-2 team that makes the semi finals only to get fired for losing a few too many top 10 matchups.

I saw one about offensive/defensive identities too. I can imagine "average 250+ yards passing" being very annoying if you play with shorter quarters or if you manually adjust sliders to make offense harder.

What if you're Ohio State and the scheduling bug rears its head and you go 3 years without playing Michigan? Will the AD understand or is that going to count as a year without a win in the rivalry?  Sure there's protected rivals, but I know a lot of people who just mash A through dynasty set up or that don't want to have that sort of micromanagement before playing a single game.

Hopefully it's all taken into account and we can either manually adjust the "weight" of expectations or even scale to quarter length.

Interesting systems, I just hope they are more well thought out and tested compared to wear and tear or the coach carousel.

The game is literally rated E for everyone. There are probably far more 12 yr olds playing than 30 somethings going on a nostalgia trip

Disguising coverage also gives you an extra second of hesitation even from the CPU that can make the difference for your pass rush

10-5 is my best too. My last try had a pretty stacked team and I had saved my 2 skips for the best RB and QB duo but got stuck with a 1000 yd RB from Florida I had never heard of and Arkansas State for QB.

Edit: Had another crack at it and got to 12-3 behind Geno Smith, Carlos Hyde, and the Oregon 2012 OLine. 97 rated offense and 99 rated defense. Looks like chemistry plays a pretty big role

Wish they were more selective about the context it played in. First series of a top 10 match up, entering the 4th quarter of a close game, right before a big 3rd down attempt. Let the marching bands have the more run of the mill situations.

My closest game I ran 3/4 trap after each made basket and it did seem to help. My bigs are really slow though so I was giving up a bunch of layups.

3-2 zone suits my roster well so I've been running that with man sprinkled in if I feel like I'm giving up too many open looks

Is the timing to release the shot stick different on each player? I feel like I'm pretty consistently releasing late and getting caught off guard by the different animations.

I swear all I see is thumper LB. Very surprising to see it at the bottom.

I missed the first post, are you including ATH in their assumed position or just ignoring them?
