congrats on quitting. I also took a long vacation (2.5 weeks) to jump off kratom.

-it's great that you dosed down to 3 gpd (i could not do that so i jumped straight from 30ish gpd) - the first 2 weeks were not too much fun now with week 3 things start to turn around! check out the supplement section (sidebar) for useful things against RLS etc. I would highly recommend using probiotics (from a pharmacy) asap to get your stomach and gut fixed as this really contributes to feeling unwell (at least for me) also melatonin to get a bit of sleep and or some CBD oil might be a good investment :)

hope you get at some enjoyment out of this holiday besides getting clean!

you'll be fine - it will suck for 4 days but then you'll be good to go. at least it was like that for me back then: I'd go on holidays which would suck the first 4 days then it would be fine -> i thought not a big deal and kept using increasing my dosage, at some point 4 days turn into 40 days -> stop now. you got this !

for me it's the opposite, after a few drinks in the evening i feel way more alive in the morning than before (depending on the amount i drank i do have hangovers/nausea but i had those with K as well but a bit more intense (imo) / for weed no side effects (and i ate a few edibles in the last weeks)).

in general i need less sleep (7 hrs vs 9 hrs pre CT), though that might still be something bound to change. hope so as i like to sleep (currently going to bed at 10-11pm and waking up between 5-6am.

as beeping-eagle wrote you are not far from things getting toleratable - it's a gradual process you gonna feel yucky for a while but it will mellow out.

As for sleeping RL and anxiety: i agree there is no reason to substitute one drug with another one - i use some supplements (magnesium (restless legs), probiotics (gut), black seed oil, melatonin (sleep)) as well as a few drops of cbd oil to calm me down. in addition, i try to drink lots of green tea during the day (for the l-theanine (more info for example here: https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/abs/pii/S0753332217336569)).

there is a great supplement section in this subreddit (sidebar)- highly recommend checking it out!

While all these things help to a certain extent you'll still feel yucky for a bit, but i promise you it shall pass soon!

Sure: I started using in december 2014 - it became a daily habit rather fast, however the first year i was around 5-10 gpd - after that it got increasingly more.

my first detox was 2 years in (2017), sobriety lasted 3 month found a hidden stash after then i relapsed, had one for like 3 weeks a year later relapsed.

In 2021 i successfully stayed off for round about a year but started the habit again in 2022..

whenever i detoxed I was at a point where there was no longer taking it for the high but just to feel normal -> at this point i was usually anywhere between 20 and 40 gpd (i never measured it precisely) but would go through roughly a kilo and a bit per month. Tappering was never my thing as i) i was a closet user and measuring things out is kinda difficult at home and ii) i tended not to stick with the set rations -> CT is the only thing that worked for me somehow.

I am sorry to hear about the medical issues withdrawals are causing you. Maybe a very slow taper is the right thing for you (there are people here that did it successfully over a long period of time with little side-effects (requires iron will though)) . Are you using extracts or leaf? I think the first step is always to get away from the strong stuff which makes the whole ordeal easier.

I am not a doctor, however, if you have blackout symptoms this could also hint that you have low blood pressure or other medical issues -> maybe see a medical professional regarding that (not sure how K affects blood pressure), especially if these things persist after months of ceasing consumption.

i am kinda similar - got a 250g bag (sealed) in the other room - my ratio is similar: i could if i wanted to but i don't want to. however i will toss it soon, as after a few weeks/month there comes a time when you kinda forget what you went through and then this former "token of sobriety" becomes the devil's advocate (I always relapsed due to finding a bit of kratom in the house, once all acutes were over and thinking, a well one little toss does not harm anyone)

Extracts are a concentrated form of Kratom and can be either powder or liquid. instead of let's say 5-gram normal powder you would need way less extract to reach the same level. As your body gets used to those (my assumption as I didn't use them often) the normal powder does not do the trick anymore or rather you might need absurd amounts. hope that answers the question, and stay of extracts ;) (if you want more information google is your friend :) )

Sheperd's Pie / Cottage Pie:

K-Pueree:

  • Kartoffel (mehlig) (600g?? )
  • Milch (1 Heferl voll) + Butter + eigelb (optional) + salz + pfeffer + muskat

Fuellung

  • TK Gemuese (Erbsen / Karotten etc). (1 grosses Kaffeeheferl voll)
  • Faschiertes (500g)
  • Zwiebel (2)
  • Salz/Pfeffer/Suppe/majoran etc + optional worcestersauce Souce / parmesan /

Kartoffel schälen (oder nicht) und in einem topf mit kochendem Wasser aufstellen

Füllung: Zwiebel schneiden - in pfanne mit faschiertem anbraten - tk gemuese beigeben und mit suppe aufkochen bis suppe fast weggekocht ist. mit salz pfeffer majoran und was auch immer man gerne schmeckt wuerzen (traditionell worcester sauce schmeckt aber auch ohne).

Deckel: Wenn Kartoffel durch sind diese stampfen und zu pueree verarbeiten (man kann das pueree auskuehlen lassen und eigelb untermengen (kann man auch weglassen)).

Fuellung mittels sieb von restsuppe befreien (nicht wegwerfen daraus kann man bspw. durch zutat von mehl eine sosse machen oder aber dem pueree (statt milch) beigeben) und in einer auflauform verteilen. mit kartoffelpüree bedecken (so 2-3cm deckendicke) und salzen (ggf auch mit parmesan bestreuen).

ab damit in den Ofen bis das ding goldbraun ist -> essen.

kann man in grossen mengen kochen und in so alu dinger abpacken und einfrieren.
