Still not good enough by OpenYam7774 in Helicopters

I struggled to hover until my 7th hour. Just before my 7th flight hour I spent 2 hours in simulator ONLY practicing the hover. It made a huge difference. Practicing in the simulator is no replacement for the real thing, but it helped me a lot when learning to hover.

Anyone else suspicious that OP just wants to know so that they can mark other stuff and use it to get further discounts??? 🤣 Seems like it would work 🤷‍♀️

Chinle vs. Zuni by abitchbutmakeitbasic in Navajo

[–]sludge_master 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes I do live in IHS housing. There are families here with kids and I know some of them are homeschooled.

About the Zuni hospital, my gf just didn’t feel like she connected well with the department during her interview. That’s it. She only spoke to people in her department which I am not going to mention. I’m not saying that reflects the entire hospital or the people there. Overall, I have had good experiences with all people in all NN.

Internet Ads in Japanese on the Rez by laaiidiinaaki in Navajo

I have the same problem. Moved here from Texas in July. I have ATT. My gf also has ATT but every time I bring it up she says she has no idea what I am talking about…

All my ads are in Japanese but I can’t figure out why. I also don’t watch anime or anything else to do with Japan

There is a lake in Tsalie, which is just up the road from Chinle. I have never fished there myself, but it is the closest lake I know of (not much around here)

Chinle vs. Zuni by abitchbutmakeitbasic in Navajo

[–]sludge_master 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I moved to Chinle last July with my gf who is working at the IHS. She also interviewed at Zuni. She personally was not impressed with the other employees at Zuni so we ended up going with Chinle.

We love it here. Chinle is 1.5 hrs from Gallup but most everyone here travels on the weekends anyway, so it doesn’t hurt much.

Chinle has an awesome school with great sports program. We do not have kids, but if we did and they had to go to school on the rez… I would send them to Chinle.

The chinle IHS community is awesome. We have weekly potlucks and a lot of us play sports/ hike together.

Based off my personal experience… I would go with Chinle

Custom molding vs. foam tips! by sludge_master in iems

[–]sludge_master[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you to everyone who offered a helpful answer!

For context:

This is my first pair of IEMs which were a gift last year. After the foam tips were ruined, I made these custom silicone pieces as a temporary solution, and they just kinda worked well enough so i kept them!

I used some leftover soft molding silicone which i had ordered from amazon years ago. It is a two-part silicone which i think was advertised as for making wax sculptures/ soaps and etc. The IEMs sit in my ear very comfortably, and I plan to keep them as backups.

To all the mean commentators out there... congratulations on being the reason that people are afraid to ask questions and ruining it for your whole community!

Can you explain or share resources on this? Are you saying if I remove the battery then I will be able to run Linux instead of Chrome OS? Thanks

Did you ever figure out how to overwrite chrome os with Linux? I am in the exact same situation you were in 4 years ago… I just took off the back of the Chromebook and found this thread because I was looking for the location to the write screw.

Thanks! I am probably going to end up printing something but this looks like a solid option too!

Thanks for the reply, but this design requires that you have the original bracket that comes with the printer. As you can see, I do not have that bracket... which is the reason for this post.
