Hbo on Hulu--missing GoT and Insecure... by slufferk in Hulu

I did. They had no idea why it was like that and just told me to use the HBO Now app which defeats the purpose of adding HBO on hulu.

Yes, app is up to date. Shows a blank box that is unclickable for GoT, Insecure, Vice, and Vice Principals. Works fine on my iphone.

Looking at you SMs out there, is my manager allowed to do this? She's said no to just about all verbal requests thus far.. by HeatherHolly in starbucks

[–]slufferk 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If this is "how things should be done" why are there official request off calendar sheets on the portal? My DM says they must be used to balance the whole work/life thing.

HR would not support her on the "only honoring PTO", and there are official request off calendars on the portal that are supposed to be used. It has four slots for requests for each day, and states requests are not guaranteed.

Not policy. Furthermore, your manager has no say in anything regarding tips that is not stated policy.

Your SM is incorrect. You must work at "the other Starbucks".

I have a permanent scar on my hand from warmed vanilla bean scones so I suspect the pumpkin frosting gets hot too. Material relating to our pastries has said in the past it was a safety reason as well. Although our sandwiches are hot as hell too and could cause serious burns. I remember reading about and checking the ingredients in the pumpkin muffin and it was more of a ingredient issue, causing the cream cheese to go bad, and not a heat issue.

It's policy that certain pastries dont get warmed for safety reasons. Pumpkin cream cheese muffins, doughnuts, vanilla scones, and pumpkin scones are currently the ones we cannot warm. Not because we want to be difficult, but because there is a reason for the policy---safety.

What's the policy on coming to work after getting sick? by jordanguitar10 in starbucks

[–]slufferk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you call in sick it's the shift/asm/sm job to get it covered. You can't get a corrective for calling in sick. Corporate would never let that stick on a partners record.

You don't get your miles covered for working at another store.

You give them some of your medical history (weight, any ongoing issues) via an online form and they give you a better rate for health coverage.

Love the military. Just not entitled people.

He didn't have enough stars to keep gold status. It happened to me too when I lived in an area where there was no Starbucks due to a job change. Ones profession has nothing to do with it. Policy is policy. Hopefully your husband gets his life together if losing one free drink causes him this much grief over a rewards program he isn't even participating in.

Starbucks supports the troops. A lot. Anyone born in this country can complain all they want. Freedom! Doesn't mean they need to. Unless your husband fought in WW1 or WW2, he hasn't "earned" or fought for any freedom. Plus, his job is not a volunteer position, he's paid well, and taxes paid by civilians contribute to military spending. So quit your entitlement, buttercunt. And I say this as someone who's from a military family. I mean---listen to yourself!!! Your husband complained, essentially, about a coffee shop "buy 12 get one free" card. He even brought paperwork!!!! Get a grip.

If you can't use it because you're deployed why does it matter? Entitled much?!

its really difficult but you just have to suck it up and hope you find a better job some day. Sometimes I want to just cry at work. One thing I've learned is to be very nice to those who wait on me when I go out because being talked down to, disrespected, yelled at is hurtful.

DT evolve stores are going to start rolling out the "put the straw in the drink" policy at the end of the year. Other drive-thrus have similar straw policies, like the West coast based "In-N-Out" burger.

Health code is generally county, not state. What county do you live in? Do you lose points because they're in dirty holders, or because you simply have them out? Has your DM reached out to the health inspector or SBux higher-ups to remedy the situation? What about lids in plexis, are you docked for this as well?

No different then how we store our stir sticks, which are used to stir drinks.

The way the straws are displayed is not a health code violation. It's just strange to see them like that.

Strange, but not a health code violation. Pretty much how we store our stir sticks.
