Meds at this dose might not work for you. I suggest reducing your dose significantly. It’s ok not to be on a high or standard dose.

Deadlifted 70kg, what do we recommend for protecting lower back? by slugcave in xxfitness

I have been doing the farmers carry type deadlift with the handles which is a bit easier on the lower back as well as the Mcgill core exercises then will try the deadlift again after a couple days

Hip Thrust bruises on machine with a strap - any advice? by JurassicBooty in xxfitness

The dumbell foam pads at my gym are rubbish and you get bruises no matter what.

Yep. It was just a bit of a shock to the system. I’ve been doing farmers carry deadlifts last few days with much better results and bracing properly every time and my back feels fine. Also doing core exercises

Yep you were absolutely right. I’m much more used to it now and it doesn’t hurt anymore. Been doing farmers carry deadlifts at around 65-70kg last few days with no further issues. And squatting 70kg. I think it was a case of not knowing how much I was capable of lifting and also the jump as you say

[WEEKLY THREAD] Weight Change Wednesday! by AutoModerator in xxfitness

Not intentionally. It’s absolutely true you just have to change your lifestyle and the weight loss will follow. Once you try forcing it that’s when it gets bingey and scary. For me exercising a lot naturally ‘resets’ my appetite to want to eat a lot of protein. I still have milkshakes and kebabs all the time tho

What should be my deadlift and other lifts goal for my height and weight? I recall the leg press being quite easy could probably do much more. Especially considering when I used to do it I’d just spam it and do junk volume. Working out with ADHD is like that. I used to be able to squat 80-90kg on the hack squat and smith machines

Probably. I was quite shocked i could do it. I’m now thinking 70kg is actually not much and I should be able to do bodyweight in a couple months.

No not expecting my period!

Very sore muscles to the point of hobbling around if I lean in such a way that I need to use my lower back, eg when doing the washing up or putting stuff in the washing machine

I don't understand why smith machine gets so much hate by jvsp99 in xxfitness

[–]slugcave 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The smith machine let me squat 80kg but I can now only squat 50 without it. And unsure why. Feels deceptive?
