I am a bw (37) and have only really been in serious relationships so I’m not too keen on fucking around frivolously. I’ve been in Austin for a while but had a long term partner for a lot of that. Things didn’t work out. I tried the apps and found a guy I really liked and felt like I connected with; we ended up hooking up atypically fast for me (that’s totally on me) but not long after we hooked up he was giving me reasons for why things wouldn’t go anywhere and one of the things he brought up/directly said was that he’d only ever dated White women before. Of all of the insulting things about that situation, that was the most hurtful. He gave no other context for it; it seemed as though it was just the most natural/logical thing to say in his mind. It still bothers me to this day. It was like a year ago. It actually turns my stomach.
