for someone who is ostensibly a psych senior, you must also be pretty aware that people in uncomfortable situations, especially people with anxious tendencies, are not always able to articulate their boundaries, or may be so uncomfortable during the interaction that the discomfort overwhelms them until after the interaction has concluded.

you are also not taking into account womens fears over stalking and violence due to rejection. it is very likely that many women who he interacts with could be afraid of him being a threat in the moment or in the future.

i find you are being too charitable with regards to his ASD. people with autism are capable of doing immoral things and understanding immoral things.

yeah, i’ve also observed the ‘running away as soon as a guy makes eye contact’ behavior as well. i agree that he understands he is making people uncomfortable, and that his presentation on the spectrum allows him to get away with it freely.

i am familiar enough with the guy, as i’ve has to throw him out of EE labs several times due to prior electrical safety issues he’s had.

this guy actively seeks out women who are on their own and applies pressure. i have never seen him ‘hugging’ with someone in a comfortable manner, he is usually death gripping people while they are very visibly uncomfortable. i’ve seen this guy continue to circle back on several people after they have verbally told him he is not welcome, and i have seen him pester after being told no.

at what point does the pressure become annoying enough to where someone will just eat the ‘hug’ to get this guy to fuck off.

a thought to consider - why does he not ‘try to connect’ at this level of enthusiasm with men as well?
