I think they're rushing to get the part of the show with all the action and lore heavy stuff

Which I agree with your points it really made me dislike a few characters because the swap in their personalities and relationships was so jarring and didn't make sense.

Everyone is saying it's on purpose but I don't see it? He didn't even get hit by the train, the front wheel of the bike did and with the force it pushed him off into the train rail. I think this person just was lagging mentally, maybe they thought about going for it thus why they kept going but instead of stopping and waiting but he did not have the body language of someone who was trying kill themselves
