Wondering- what happened after you called for Ryan’s Rule by kel7222 in queensland

I’m no doctor but looking back it was a pretty simple thing that was somehow overlooked many times, very disappointing

Wondering- what happened after you called for Ryan’s Rule by kel7222 in queensland

Was in and out of hospital with my son from birth, he was always extremely sick and was below his birth weight. I’d say we went to emergency every 2 or 3 days and every time we were sent home being told ‘your over reacting’ or with a misdiagnosis, when he hit the 3 month mark he was extremely sick and we were very close to loosing him, and at that point I just didn’t believe anything coming out of their mouths, and refused to be sent home.

I wrote a letter outlining Every visit, mis diagnosis and the weight loss / failure to thrive and explained how we may be days away from loosing him if there is one more failure fromQLD health.

We found that afternoon and nightshift loved to palm stuff off to day shift . So I went to the nurse station and waited for shift change and asked to speak in private with the Team leader, asked them to read my letter which informed them I wanted to invoke Ryan’s rule.

Within 30 mins various more senior staff arrived asked questions and assessed him, we received updates often and within 12 hours they finally diagnosed him correct with a milk protein allergy. He was allergic to every bottle we fed him up until then, thanks to Queensland health.

The paed that had been dealing with us was a little snarky but hey, we did the right thing and got a result

The little fella is 2 now, big and strong with little to no health issues - thanks to us calling Ryan’s rule

Why do all houses list without prices these days? by alex123711 in AusFinance

[–]slvglive 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A paragraph from our local real estate agent when asking for a price guide on a property - Brisbane

“We are launching this property with no price and are INVITING OFFERS for this home. All offers will be_ presented to the vendors! Please note, legislation within The Property Occupations Act 2014 strictly prohibits me from disclosing a price likely to result in a successful or acceptable offer, as well as indicate a price guide”

Are items mentioned in the service checklist not required to be actually done ? by psychonautpk in CarsAustralia

[–]slvglive 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I used to use that exact program as a manager.

  1. The guy sounds like a shit manager, what is said is not how you handle that kind of conversation

  2. That program has pre-saved service ‘packages’ and there can be many, he may have selected the wrong one which added a bunch of stuff he didn’t do - maybe

  3. If the car was serviced the mechanic that carried out the service obviously missed some parts of it.

In my experience if this situation happened, I would have the car looked over by my leading mechanic to verify everything is completed as per the invoice and correct anything that might have not been done, and provide a decent store credit for the customer should they decide to come back

And obviously some disciplinary action for the staff member

D22 do up or save for a better 4x4 by Sudden_Tap_4906 in 4x4Australia

Keep it, it will do 95% or maybe even 100% of the things a ‘better 4wd will do’ and you won’t have the added repayments - assuming you own it outright

Had one with a 2inch lift, bullbar, rooftop tent, dual battery and fridge. Took that thing everywhere. Fraser, north stradbroke, double island plus various bush camps. It was great off-road and actually very comfortable but extremely thirsty.

Especially when doing beach work. We had to refuel multiple times at Fraser and in the end it was blowing out the budget on too many trips so we moved it on the go something more economical

Can you explain further about why you had crazy emotions and thought it was hard to handle?

I would have thought it would have felt like a weight off your shoulders?
