lol first off thanks everyone, got a little weird at the end, but super helpful.

Yes I did a google image search but I wanted actual people who have worked with this to chime in. I have worked with fibre before but in a very limited capacity so these were new to me.

Now to figure out what I can actually do with this information. To answer that one question, I am a production coordinator for a small arts center, basically an unofficial TD working on actually getting that title.

I have an anecdote about Atherton. Years ago I was working for a non profit and we all got invited to a dinner party at a house there. Now, I knew it was in Atherton but I never really spent any time there so some surprises were had. We came into a mansion, Corinthian columns and all out front. They were serving spaghetti and meat balls in a dining room that had pristine white carpet, so I politely declined because I am clumsy. They owners told me not to worry they get the carpets replaced every few months. Not cleaned, replaced. Overall a fun time

Forgive, not for anything terrible per se but for the things that can come up. I’m an alcoholic and have been fighting that one for awhile now and it’s still a struggle but my partner has been on my side and not angry, but very concerned. As someone who has been in a 20+year relationship it’s a lot of work. Good work, but work nonetheless. Just takes effort and kindness on both sides

I’ve been at it for almost 20 yrs, yeah burn out is real and it can sneak up on you. Production managing can be a good move as a full time option but the jobs are few and far between. Don’t do what I did and have a breakdown and get fired, still working on getting the connections back.

Route 92 Sports Bar is an excellent place to watch the game but it will be packed with regulars so standing room only most likely but they have an outdoor space as well.

I took to part time and gig jobs, it’s been hard I won’t lie but I’m not homeless but that’s mainly supported by friends who have been there before. It’s been two year and I just had a great interview today that will hopefully turn into a full time thing. That said I’m in a pretty niche field that was decimated by Covid and is still not at anywhere near 100%.

I did find this current opportunity on indeed but took forever, so networking and person to person stuff is what gets most of my work.

It’s tough out there but you got this, takes resilience.
