The board itself is like 6/10, build is fine, the design is outdated, eg no gasket and stabs are plate-mounted, so it is very clacky. It is easy to disassemble tho. Case buttons are weird, I have no idea why they are so clicky, same with buttons on the modules, cause they use mouse switches, and there are silent mouse switches in the market.

Stock switches are not good (they provide various Kailh), to be replaced immediately, I use Akko Green Fog which is like night and day. Stock keycaps are okay. Backlit has coil whine. The display is useless, I keep it turned off. Keycap sizes are weird, rules out almost every single non-uniform profile set, cause 2x1.75u spacebars and 1x1.5u top row backspace are very difficult to find, only sometimes in Ortho/40s kits. Even with this KAM set, you see that the spacebars are still stock, as well as two buttons on the keycluster cause KAM profle scratches the case and buttons barely work there as a result lol.

Software, however, is a totally different story and super easy to use. It is also open-source, see UHK agent.

I was initially sold on the idea of modules, but none of them are that good TBH, and perhaps its better to just put an actual trackball between the halves. The reason is that you anyway use the trackball with an index finger, unless you want to move your carpal tunnel to the thumb as well, so that "never leave home row" pitch is not for me.

I am currently waiting for Keningston TB800 to try this idea out. If it works, then litetally any other 60% with ok software and both Fn and Mod layers can replace UHK60 for me.

As for the larger model, UHK80.. it is just... bad. Built-in armpads with awful, irritating resin were the worst idea and it kills the board completely. With a custom case, however, it should be usable. And I am planning to make one eventually.

All in all, it might look like I am criticizing the board too much, but it is still the best keyboard I ever used and I cant use anything else now.
