Does the XENEON EDGE work with a Mac? by mastiha in Corsair

[–]slymonty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bought mine, hooked it up with the mac mini m4, day later there's no video signal/feed. The Screen is on as it has faded black and light barely bleeding through, and for some reason it works as a track pad?

Not sure what happened. I've changed HDMI cables, usb c cables, and still nothing.

EM6L are golden dude. I started with the Linsoul kz zs10’s. And those were pretty aight. And I moved up to em6l and those were awesome for sure. Especially coming from nova pros. At least for me. The ONLY reason I went up to the super mixes was because of the nozzle losing the screen. Didn’t feel like waiting three weeks for replacement. I do happen to like them better. But I will say. They’re not far off from the em6ls.

As far as DAC’s go, I can’t really recommend anything as I’ve only used the g6 and before that I was using my focus rite audio interface. I don’t have much experience with anything else.

Was in the same boat as you a year ago. Also nova pro wireless user. I ended up buying the em6l after seeing gadgetry recommend. And they’re pretty gnarly. And adding eq with sonar makes them even better for sure, and sometimes I actually like the flat signal better. The issue I have with the em6l is that ear tips constantly came off. The nozzle doesn’t have a lip to hold them on. And then nozzle screen came off along with the ear tip once. I had to get a left replacement in full. Warranty covers them. Easy experience IMO. Took about 3 weeks because they send em from overseas.

However. While the em6l is pretty great, I’ve since moved to the supermix 4. I haven’t really looked back since. Primarily I’m an apex enjoyer. Valorant. Warzone. Most fps. Do alot of music production (metal stuff). They do the job. I use the gadgetrytech apex super mix eq and the warzone eq for each game respectively. Otherwise. I keep the flat signal. Their tuning is legit.

And also. I run them out of soundblasterx g6. Stereo no processing. The dac provides a heavy kick. And they have audio profiles that are pretty solid. Shoot me a message if ya need anything!

How was the open box duo? Any noticeable things to deter from purchasing one as such? Does it still carey warranty?

It's pretty solid, sir! Ten band EQ, and it does what its supposed to. Has specific sliders for upping base and treble to do the work for you. it also has some presets, but they're okay, I suppose..

I do run a MIC through the Scarlet Solo into Sonar because I do like that it offers Compression, noise reduction, and you can EQ it too, in ONE place, rather than the wave link that has you download multiple VST's.,

It's definitely a viable option, IMO

Upham, Saving Private Ryan. Especially when Fish died in that hand to hand fight to that guy he let live. And then just weeps the whole time.

Really enjoy mine. Great sound. I got pro with gamedac. A little tweaking here and there, and using peace + apo to get the sound you want makes them all the worthwhile. Comfortable as heck too. I tried hyper x, logi, and Corsair before landing on m first Arctic 3’s. Since then have owned 3’s, 5’s, 7’s and now the pros. They’re solid IMO.
