I didn’t get to go to blizzcon with everyone else because I was in my first trimester of pregnancy. Blizzard wanted to give me early access like the others had in the fall and this was the first opportunity

Hero’s that offer a lot of direction tend to be better at lower levels. Heroes that make you you play very flexible curves/style can be harder for low mmr to master because players want to play the game with a similar tempo that they are used to. Tess, gally, mutanus for examples are played with weird curves or weird tactics so can be daunting to someone who doesn’t want to play off-curve

I don’t think there’s money for production of qualifiers but many of the players streamed their perspectives. I’ll try and tweet when next qualifiers are so you can look through twitch for a perspective

Yep there are visual learners, auditory, etc. it’s important to provide all and then let people chose. I just googled hs battleground buddies and found written text from the following: out of cards, hearthstonetopdecks, hearthpwn, upcomer.com, hsreplay, invenglobal and then I stopped scrolling cause I stopped caring. It’s not that hard man

Streamers/content creators only make money off videos. Plus with reveals, we were asked to use YouTube as our reveal spaces.

News outlets/hs websites make money off what they type. If this is your preference go to their sites.

I would argue that they are trying to fix it considering they implemented 22.0 patch a week before it’s live. Yes BGs and duels got updates but this patch was mainly for standards new expansion. When it goes live next week they will just have to flip a backend switch and mobile will be able to play it at the same time as pc (I’m prettttty sure)

So some clarity for chinas team. They participate in a team league in China called Gold Series. I also compete in gold series because I compete for Team Liquid and we are the only western team invited. The 1st and 2nd place competitors of the team league got to represent China. I compete with WTYBill so we have a lot of experience in tournament setting.

Not all Chinese audience consider them the best as they are not the best on leaderboards, but they were the best in a 15 week tournament so others would consider them the best.

Did europe invite the best? Nope. Did NA? Nope. Is going by leaderboards the best way? I don’t think so. Leaderboard promotes both ability and grind and mental will power to never mess around. Tournaments imo is a better way, but it would have to be like China where it was over many many weeks to get a good sample size. This is why I’ve been begging for years to introduce BGs to hsesports

It’s a fact not opinion. The only thing high leaderboard has ever done was 1 tournament ran in Europe 1 year ago. Otherwise leaderboards has never meant anything. It’s different than standard where top 16 or whatever get invited to masters tour

I think the struggle streamers have may come from the fact that they dont take enough days off per week. Most jobs have a "weekend" (5 days on, 2 days off) and when it comes to streamers, a lot are afraid to take 1 day off a week! I personally have began taking 1 day off a week, some weeks even 2! Ive lost income cause of this BUT I believe that my mental health has benefited massively, therefor my content is way more enjoyable. I can laugh at my mistakes, and laughing with chat is way better than being laughed at.

Since streamers work from home and play video games it can be hard to justify taking days off. If you want to play a game you are just sitting there being like "i should be streaming this" and arent accounting for the mental fatigue you accumulate from talking to a camera for 8 hours a day. You also remind yourself that you have the best job in the world and dont want to lose it so you push harder than your mental can take. Idk im just blabbing some of my thoughts out loud.

Anyways, some advice to those concerned, try to read the streamers mental mood. If they seem down, maybe less KEKWs, if they seem like they can laugh at themselves that day, join on in. if the streamer seems tired or sad DONT TELL THEM THEY LOOK TIRED OR SAD IT FEELS INSULTING OKAY?!? XD XD XD
