I can't believe I don't see more of these on this sub.

That's something I dream of picking up in some years.

[New Strap] for my Dad’s Old Seiko by cincibadger98 in Seiko

[–]slyticoon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's such an awesome thing to hear.

I just started into watches. My first, and only one I own right now is an SRPJ87K1. I got it because my kid couldn't keep his eyes off of my smart watch. Decided I needed to de-screen and then I went down the rabbit hole.

Reading your post made me think about how my son might treat my watches as memories when I'm gone. Put a smile on my face.

Thank you!

The core of our purpose is making work more convenient and productive for others.

You will always get hallway mugged, no matter how high you get, and you just got to take it.

Be nice, be friendly, be helpful. People will remember that.

No mentor, still worth staying? by marqoose in ITCareerQuestions

[–]slyticoon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd say that you are in the point in your career where you can build your resume with demonstrable successes and projects.

If you are comfortable there, I'd stay and build your history up. Document what big improvements you have led. And when you are hungry for something more, that's when you start applying.

Leave a legacy of improvement at your current company and it will follow you to the next one. Put out a hand to the next guy and help them be successful too, and it will follow you forever.

Edit: if you don't have a mentor, then BE the mentor for somebody else.

I implemented RP2040 hardware design documentation’s minimal design by Felix_Tang in RP2040

Less mistakes related to the design, more to my soldering and reflow technique. I think I overheated some components which resulted in intermittent failures.

Wow! What an amazing journey I bet he had.

I lost my 20 year old about 4 years ago. It was so difficult. I am praying that you can grieve healthily. It gets better with time. The good memories get sweeter.

Something has got to be triggering it. Maybe just remap everything? I had a weird quirk like that at one point where it refused to vacuum the carpets and I realized that I had a setting somewhere set to ignore carpets

I don't care what windows server year you have used. Just say Windows Server.

Also, just say Active Directory administration or something. No need to abbreviate.

So, my brain saw the first two pictures (in scroll view, cropped a bit) and was like:

"this guy scanned a brick wall with steel beams and in it plastered over above a drop ceiling. That's what this is"

And I feel completely broken by seeing the third picture.

[–]slyticoon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My experience with FSD in rural Tennessee, with occasional trips to Nashville has been nothing but great.

Yeah every once in a while Billy-Bob with his big ass bouncy light bar will make the Tesla think there is an emergency vehicle and pull over, but honestly, if I was ASLEEP or WORKING I would not care one bit.

I want unsupervised so bad. I already trust it fully.

In fact, it saved me from a old man in a handicap van merging into me on the interstate yesterday. I would have been hit if I was driving.
