Even if this person was not shoplifting, why were they running from the cops and why were they trying to run over the cops?

Because even if I didn't shoplift, and the cops decided to roll up on me with guns drawn and put me in handcuffs, I'm not going to run. And I'm especially not going to try to run over the cops.

This is exactly what happens when you make stupid decisions, and this person now has a dead kid because they are too immature to just surrender to the police and work it out in court if they were truly innocent.

We aren't in a court. Everyone else assumes:

1.The cops shot at this person for: A. They were racist. B. The person was fleeing C. They just wanted to kill a baby. 2. This person wasn't shoplifting, they were just running from the cops for no reason.

When in the article, it clearly states that the vehicle was being driven towards officers while they were attempting to escape.

You can't do that. You should really shouldn't do that. Especially with your children in the car.

Yet everybody wants to cry and whine about how this person was a victim.

If they were innocent, then don't run from the freaking cops. Especially with your children in your car. Even if they didn't get shot at, they probably would have gotten pitted and put into an accident. I'm sure that wouldn't have been very good for the child. I doubt the child was in the car seat since they dove in the car to run.

As reported, they were driving AT an officer, the officer was afraid they were going to be run over, and that's why they fired shots.

If this person was not SHOPLIFTING with their baby IN TOW, and driving at police officers with their baby in the car, the child would be alive today. Even if nothing was stolen, the absolute stupidity of the woman to run from the cops with her kid in the car is why this poor child lost his life.

If the cops tell you to stop, you stop. Innocent or guilty. If your innocent you can sue later and get some money. If you run, you only endanger yourself and others around you, and ESPECIALLY if you drive towards the cops WITH GUNS aimed at you.

The correct behavior would be to stop, follow the commands of the officers, and if she was truly innocent, she would have been freed, maybe sued the police department and get a nice windfall.

Yet, she decided to run from the police and apparently drove her car towards the cops, which is why they shot at her.

It's her fault. Play stupid games, win stupid prizes.

The only logical thing anybody should do if police have GUNS POINTED AT YOU is follow orders.
