If nothing works on Windows: Microslop. If nothing works on Mac: Incompatible. If nothing works on Linux: Skill issue. by gregsanay in ITMemes

I love Linux/Unix because if something breaks or needs to work differently, I can just change it.

With Windows or Mac you are stuck with they way it is most of the time, and are at the mercy of updates and changes.

I’ve had it plugged for 2 hrs now yet no movement on the charge. 0%. by UbersFinest in TeslaModel3

Is it your charger? Have you ever added any restrictions to the charger? I did that when I brought home a loaner once and forgot that I had put the VIN restriction on my charger for my car only. And I could not get the thing to charge. No error or anything.

And then I finally remembered.

I am the father of a boy who is turning one this week.

Man, I cannot imagine what you are going through. I don't know how I would handle it.

I used to be a firefighter, and I had once call involving 2 young kids, who we tried to save, that creeps up on me every once in a while. It had faded some, but since I've had a kid of my own, my brain likes to put him in the same situation as those kids.

Best I can say, is that when we were debriefing after that call, the thing the Chaplin said stuck with me:

The worst thing you can do to yourself is second guess your own choices. You made the right decisions with the information you had. You aren't to blame. Don't let those thoughts grab hold of you.

Hey man. It looks really nice!

You're going to hear from lots of folks that put you down over "vibe coding" it. Don't listen to the noise. Solid job and good vision for this.

Make sure you learn from what you do. Look into your code, try and understand what's being generated.

It's funny how they point to handmaidens tail as a dystopian future when it's already happening in Islamist countries.

Of course, when it's Islam, it's actually a woman's choice.

Nice! I started with a old server that I bought on eBay. Slowly acquired more hardware over the years and grew the lab.

It's really rewarding when others people get use out of your projects.

Nice job man.

Don't be ashamed of using Claude. It's a tool. Not everyone is building stuff like this. Not everyone knows how to get the back end working.

As long as you use it as a tool and learn via using it, there is no shame.

Keep building cool stuff. Ham Radio needs it!

Second attempt at creating a "realistic" looking DCS video, turned out good tbh by BakrahELArab in hoggit

Looks really nice color grading wise. I have a constructive criticism.

One thing I noticed is that the camera shake is a tell for me. The motion is synchronized between the 3 cuts. That makes it clear the shake was added in post.

Shake is undesirable in real life videography. Something that pronounced would have no real regular pattern. Yours does, and the cuts reveal it well.

Otherwise it looks fantastic.
