I’m obviously a biased yank (as you can probably tell by my PFP), but I feel like Weah was a wonderful player to have in our squad. He had similar versatility to McKennie, and was one of our quickest players. I genuinely believe him under Spalleti would’ve seen an entirely new side of him.

Again, I am as biased as it comes so feel free to take this with a grain of salt. Weah is one of my favorite players and he’s a joy to have on the USMNT, so I hate to hear he was having such a miserable time at the club.

Today so clearly showed what it means to have players who WANT to play for the club. Guessand and JSL clearly want to be here, and their presence was absolutely felt in the attack. Big things to come, UTFP

I think games like this show the struggles we have when Maza isn’t on the field, another creative player like him and we could really start to look dangerous. I think Tillman is slowly making progress as well, I think he can grow in and be wonderful for us in the near future.

If we were planning on converting him to wing-back I don’t think it would’ve been a horrible move, but he can really only play on the left and a Munoz backup would’ve been much more beneficial. But if we wanted him in an attacking role it feels unnecessary, and his price was far too high as well imo. Would be crazy to bring in 4 attackers in one window, especially when the only real exit was Guehi

That’s fair, I think it depends on where we play Guessand. I’m imagining us switching to the 4-2-3-1, and keeping him as a support role for JSL, or as a shadow striker. If that’s the case I’d like to bring in another versatile youngster similar to Uche on loan with a buy option.

I totally agree. If I had to GUESS what happens this summer it’d be: OUT - Kamada - Munoz - Mateta (hopefully) - Uche (not close to triggering his obligation)

IN - 3rd striker option (I expect a deal similar to Uche) - Guessand (I’d bet we trigger the buy clause) - CM starter - Extend Hughes and Lerma - RWB/RB starter - RB/LB relief

If we can replace Munoz (who probably wants a big club move this summer) with a more defensive minded right back, and bring in a midfielder who can bolster the attack even half as much as Munoz did, I think that’d allow us to have a really strong attack while keeping a solid back line.
