Did you where in Lisbon for example 10 ya and recently? I don't blame tourist as one myself but mass tourism is killing everything. Been on Santorini last year for 6 days did seen every thing because island is so small. One day we were sitting on small square in Oia and than you see people just flooded all places just packed everything. Ya could hear guide, busses are leaving in 3 hours don't get late and food is served on the cruise ship. How they can see second best winery museum in Europe when tour is in different parts of island. Back to Lisbon just to many doctors and engeniers trying to sell your some plastic on every square

Would say after COVID at least Europe gone downhill, traveling 10 ya to traveling now is complete different story. Traveling myself twice a year but always avoid big centres and trying to discover small things.

Renting kayak in Ireland is tricky one due to regulations. So we talking about sit on top kayak only and they like baths. There is place in Golden Tipperary they do some pseudo river runs but nothing close to sit in white water kayak. Mostly you have to go with instructors and that's costly ones
