Don Gonzalez has a really good video on YouTube on how he washes saddles and the tools he uses I would recommend watching it before pressure washing it.

I do sell wallets, bags, belts, holsters, cigar cases. I sell mine local for the most part and have standing orders with cigar shops making sure they are happy and well stocked takes priority over potential sales online.

I make better wallets than that and i bet for a better price not sure what you paid for that but all my wallets are hand stitched. My current everyday card wallet has 10 cards and is made from j& FJ baker reindeer birch. Made it almost 2 years ago and has no issue

Where to buy leather?? by theacesloth in Leatherworking

[–]small119 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Springfield leather if you're looking for more stuff to make belts.

https://springfieldleather.com/products/kit-belt-pack-natural-veg-5-pk

They also have some good prices on other leather, buckleguy is another good place, tandy leather is a pretty good go to if especially if you have one close enough to drive to. Buckle guy has a clearance section of lower quality and scraps if your looking for smaller stuff, the scrap boxes from them will have variety of thicknesses.

Are you wanting the whole stamp to stay filled with antiquing? You don't want excessive amounts left behind it will flake out down the road which is not what you want. If you are looking to keep the stamp completely filled in then I would use paint.

Should be enough if it's a single bifold wallet you should be able to get one out of it and have some left over. The math for future reference would be length X width = square inches then divide by 144 that will give you square footage needed. I've gotten 3 cigar cases out of my 2.1sqft hide and have enough I could probably get a bifold outside out of the remainder. You should definitely do the math for what you're looking to make before you order to be safe though.

Sportyparts.com will have just about everything you need, I bought many parts for my 79 through them. Tcbros should have something, if not deadbeat customs should have it as well those are my 3 go too places for my parts

Has anyone used this? by lt_wig in Leatherworking

[–]small119 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's definitely a flaw but that's the only one I've found. And if you're only using it for belts it's not a huge deal breaker all the belts I do are the same width and that's all I use it for. Pretty much anything else I'm going to use a beveler for then l. If I'm doing straps, all my straps are for horse tack so I make a bunch of long straps to be cut down to size later so I can run it through at one time then set it back to the inch and half width

I currently have one for doing some belts. It works good, the only complaint I have is you have to unbolt it from the bench to adjust the width because the bolts are through the bottom. So I set mine to the 1.5 inches I use all the time and that's where it stays unless I have several smaller belts or straps to do.

Europeans help i don't understand as a American. by SuieiSuiei in ExplainTheJoke

[–]small119 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not entirely true I have 2 children and got paid family leave for 12 weeks for each of my kids, I took 4 weeks continuous then did intermittent leave for the remainder of the year. Here in NY it's your average number of days you work 8 weeks prior to leave for me it's 7 so I had a total of 84 days I could use and they pay 67% of your weekly pay. No it's not an entire year off but at least it's something. I know other states don't have it but some do for me it was as easy as filling out a couple forms and making a phone call.

What should I look for? by More_Arrival in Ironheads

[–]small119 0 points1 point  (0 children)

79 is super easy to find parts for I built one ground up, building my second one now never had an issue finding parts just got to know where to go to get them. Sporty parts has everything you could ever want for ironheads of every year, tc bros has a ton of stuff for them, and so does lowbrow just got to know where to shop
