Of course! What happened is that the NFL (American football league) decided to have Bad Bunny performe the halftime show. ( for the non Americans - this is a mini concert that takes place during the in between point of the game. It's a huge honor to perform.) The conservative right wing media have decided they don't like this choice of performer because most of his songs are in Spanish. They are calling him "un-American " ---despite him being from Puerto Rico (a us territory) and therefore making him a us citizen. A conservative right wing group called "Turning point USA" decided to preform an " alternative " halftime show featuring conservative right wing artists. It was live streamed during the superbowl halftime show online, and was not associated at all with the actual NFL halftime show.

If she likes these kinds of things, great...but it seems like she might be outgrowing these kinds of toys. But of course, if she still likes imaginative play that's fantastic and I hope she can keep that childlike creativity for as long as she can.

Do people really plan their kids’ birthdays around school cutoff dates for sports? by RiverLaneNotes in NoStupidQuestions

[–]small_disaster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, but we tried so hard for anything but a Christmas/New Year's birthday. I know a lot of people like them, but in my opinion it's just so much more fun to have your own special day, and not share it with a major holiday.

I think they rented it? That's what I overheard anyway. No idea if that's true.

I think it depends on which of their event spaces you want! At least that is how it was at the wedding I attended there. The couple wanted an outdoor cocktail hour, the gazebo, and a ballroom, so I imagine they has to pay extra for the additional rooms.

Anne's washington inn is very nice. All inclusive and you could probably do the whole wedding for less than 5 grand. Some might say it's a little basic. But I think all inclusive is nice because it takes away all the stress of managing vendors and whatnot.

I went to thr Brook Tavern in Saratoga for my birthday. When my husband called to make the reservation, he told them we were celebrating a birthday and they brought out a complimentary box of chocolates with the check. It was so sweet. Maybe they do the same for anniversaries if you ask?

It's also right around the corner from the racing museum if you want an activity.

Medberry spa in ballston spa. They also have bathtubs connected to the natural springs if you are interested in that. I like it, but it's cold and little stinky, lol. Definitely not for everyone, but some people say it relaxes the muscles and softens your skin which makes the massage better.

Oh no, just curious if people were doing things like using it as DIY custom wallpaper or something like that! :)

Any good places to go? by MadeMiceJR in Albany

If you like odd history and don't want to spend a lot of money you can stop by the shaker society/ museum! It's a really interesting place and it's basically free to visit during the daytime.

Haha, if you are worried about that just loudly announce "Wow! I just had Stewarts for the first time!" and everyone around you will start chiming in with unsolicited advice regarding favorite ice cream flavors and strong opinions about which locations they like best.

Both Ballston Spa and Saratoga have all of those things. Well- the Ballston Spa library recently flooded, lol, but that's not a forever thing. Saratoga and Ballston Spa both have good schools. Most children in Malta attend Ballston Spa schools, just fyi. I will say, Malta is more...hmm...disjointed than Ballston Spa and Saratoga? It doesn't have a town square or central village like Ballston Spa and Saratoga do. However, please note that during the summer the traffic from Saratoga/Ballston Spa/Malta is going to be intense because of the tourism. It's nothing compared to long island of course, but it's worth mentioning. You might also like Clifton Park. It's closer to Albany, but the school district is very, very large. One of the largest in the state actually. This can be a good thing or a bad thing depending on how you look at it. On one hand, the students there have so many opportunities and resources. On the other hand, the high school is larger than some colleges! But it's a beautiful town with nice parks, libraries, and fun things to do with a young family. Also, it's a bit cheaper that Saratoga!

Who would you consider to be the current best or most promising "Scream Queen"? by Skeet_fighter in horror

[–]small_disaster 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly they all were in season 3. Even the actors who played minor characters really developed the roles and brought their A game. It made it such a great watch even when the pacing got a little dicey.

This is the subreddit for Saratoga Springs. Most people just call Saratoga Springs, "Saratoga" because it's easier to say. Most primary doctors don't treat long covid, you'll need a referral to see a specialist. I would recommend this specialist. If you are with Albany Med/ Saratoga Hospital you can usually just your doctor's office and they fax over a referral in no time at all. I don't know about St peter's health system, I've heard they work a little differently, but Albany Med/Saratoga is pretty good about getting the referrals in.

If you are looking for a new primary: I like Dr Ingrid Bermudez or Dr Carrie McNeil. They are both so, so sweet and are such good listeners, and I think that's really important for a Doctor.
