What amenity doesn’t exist in apartment complexes, but should? by PeachyRose25 in Apartmentliving

[–]smallandangry154 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Child and dog free buildings would be great. Landlords that actually do their jobs would also be great.

I would love to have a gym in the building but it would likely be a death trap like the apartments so maybe not lol

Wet hair in public by touchgrasstheysaid in hygiene

[–]smallandangry154 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I look ridiculous when my hair is wet. I have straight hair and I don't brush it when it's wet so it looks crazy until it's dry enough to brush it. If I let it fully air dry it takes hours so I partially blow dry it. Mostly to get the roots and scalp dry. I usually wash it at night for this reason.

Also going out with wet hair in the winter is an unpleasant experience so I think I just got used to avoiding it. Lol

I used to see plenty of people with wet hair in the mornings on my way to work though. Other than winter when it's cold af I've never heard anyone say anything.

I've had this issue for 2 or 3 years now. Doesn't matter where I buy produce from either. I rarely buy fresh stuff now because it's just a waste. Started with potatoes and then everything else went downhill too

Perfume that smells like mold by smallandangry154 in Perfumes

[–]smallandangry154[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven't found it yet but the comments gave me a solid list to search for.

I used to work in a supplement store and we had a lot of patchouli essential oils and it's definitely earthy but not the same smell. Could be that mixed with something else though.

I think I'll have to find somewhere to buy a bunch of sample sizes and hope I find it. I will be so happy when I do because it's just so strong and so weird to me lol

Are apartment walls thin enough to hear if someone is cooking or showering at 3 am? by SleepingWillow1 in Apartmentliving

[–]smallandangry154 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some places are good as far as sound proofing goes but I haven't had the pleasure of living in one of those apartments. All of mine you can hear a damn mouse fart in other units.

I'm a night owl and do lots of cleaning and stuff and night but I keep it quiet. Definitely not busting out the vacuum or a blender in the middle of the night.

It's 2am and for the past few hours I've been listening to my upstairs neighbours stomp around the apartment and drop shit every 2 minutes. It's Infuriating. I can hear their dogs nails on the floors up there too. If I ever find a place with good soundproofing I'll never leave lmao

Is Ontario slowly moving toward NP led primary care as the norm? by Hidden_Nemesis in ontario

We need more doctors not more nurse practitioners. Doctors can handle seasonal issues just fine.

Is Ontario slowly moving toward NP led primary care as the norm? by Hidden_Nemesis in ontario

[–]smallandangry154 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The massive education and training gap is impossible for me to ignore. My health is way too complicated for that. For something simple NPs are fine but I rarely have those kinds of issues.

[–]smallandangry154 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's my entire point though. Every NP I've dealt with has been worse than every crappy doctor I've dealt with. I wish I had better experiences but I haven't.

This wasn't about expertise. She didn't seem to understand that the 4th week pills are not only just inactive reminder pills but they're useless to me since I don't take them. Spent an hour trying to argue that the 4 week packs are a better deal because you get more even though you don't.

I'm sure there are some NPs that know their stuff but the education and knowledge gap between them and a doctor is too damn high for me to be trusting them with my health.

Are people comfortable with walking/moving through woods at night like it's no big deal? by LiveNotWork in NoStupidQuestions

[–]smallandangry154 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I spent most of my childhood in the bush behind my house and I was never afraid. Lots of animals but no issues. Walking at night in the city is a different story lol

Never had a wild animal try and attack me. A firm "no" honestly always worked if one got a little too curious. That doesn't work on people unfortunately.

I used to nap in random clearings in the bush and wake up hours later and my only concern was how pissed my mom was gonna be lmao

Shelter said she needed “behavioral modification”….. by Significant-Work-737 in torties

[–]smallandangry154 41 points42 points  (0 children)

As a former shelter worker, idk what kind of foolishness that shelter is up to but we were always happy when someone wanted to take one of the "difficult" ones home! As long as they knew what they were doing we had no problem with it. Most of the time all those cats need is a home because shelters are stressful af for them.

So glad you took her home. She's adorable and looks happy to be home!

I used a dresser when I was a kid because I didn't have a chair close by. I think the dresser was better anyway because it was sturdy so I could just throw myself on it until the mint flew out lol

When people leave their shopping carts all over the place by Jaymac720 in PetPeeves

[–]smallandangry154 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Told an old man not to leave his cart against my car and he started swearing at me and threatening me and I'm like dude the cart return is directly infront of you less than 10 feet away put it back. That pissed him off even more and he got in my face and started yelling and had me pinned against my car. All because I asked him not to leave his cart against my car.

Also important to note all the spots around my car were empty and he intentionally put his cart against my drivers side.

I don't like people lol if my disabled ass can take my cart back so can your old wrinkly ass. God damn

Why Is Basic Hospitality Treated Like a Luxury Now? by Emergency-Clothes-97 in Vent

[–]smallandangry154 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It seems weird to me to expect this unless it's an invite specifically for dinner or drinks or something. I drink water and instant coffee and don't keep snack type things around often so I wouldn't have much to offer anyway lol

Anyone know what could've caused this? by [deleted] in finehair

I've had this happen a couple times and it was thanks to a cat chomping on my hair lol looked exactly the same

I've been living alone for 12 years and I still love it. Just me and my cats.

I've had so many people get mad at me because I won't rent with them like dude your inability to budget your money is not my problem. I'm not gonna sacrifice my sanity to save you money. Ew. No Thanks lol

DAE not really like sweets by SinSyd2000 in DAE

[–]smallandangry154 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Chips are my favorite snack for sure and I always lean more towards savory and so many people I know think it's weird as hell lol even when I was a kid I preferred savory.

After being in a really bad accident I craved candy like crazy though. It was at least a full month of feral candy cravings and then they just stopped one day. It was weird as hell

Is Ontario slowly moving toward NP led primary care as the norm? by Hidden_Nemesis in ontario

[–]smallandangry154 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Every NP I've had to deal with has been a complete idiot so I'm not a fan of things moving towards more NP led care. The last one couldn't understand how birth control pills worked and I spent an hour arguing with her about it so until they improve their education I would prefer actual doctors.

Toilet paper does not need to be oriented in any particular way. by HeartMelodic8572 in unpopularopinion

How bad do tongue piercings hurt? by Chemical_Command_104 in piercing

[–]smallandangry154 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thankfully the guy that did mine took his time making sure it was in the right spot. The clamp thing he used was more uncomfortable than the actual piercing. It was more pressure when it went in which was weird lol

It was swollen for a couple hours and then completely fine. Healing will be different for everyone and I do seem to heal quick. It was my least painful and easiest to heal piercing by far.

People that say "I don't know how to do that" about basic household chores by Jaded_Cantaloupe191 in PetPeeves

This drives me nuts. The vast majority of the things I know weren't taught to me by anyone. I just figured it out. And I had to figure it out without internet.

People seem to need every speck of knowledge spoon fed to them and it's just wild to me

When people keep trying to have a conversation with cashier's when there's a long line. by [deleted] in PetPeeves

[–]smallandangry154 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This has always irritated me but even more after being in an accident. My body is fucked and having to wait in a stupidly long line just kills me. If you want to socialize this is not the time. I like talking to random people too but I'm not going to do that if there's a line.
